This is absolutely delicious!! I can see why several reviewers mentioned making it twice in one week. I used Special K for the cornflakes and coleslaw mix for the cabbage. I only made a small casserole because I wasn't sure I would like it, and now I wish I would have made [alot] more.

my 3 year old who rates dinners as "this is an easy one" or a "hard one" based on whether or not it will be easy to eat all of her dinner said "this is good, mommy". Dad was prepared for the "this is a hard one" fight! He was pleasantly surprised...he and my daughter loved it! Served with green beans and applesauce...everyone left with full tummies! I even used the healthy request cream of celery.

I am usually not a fan of cooked cabbage recipes. I tried this one with the recommendation of adding cooked breakfast sausage (1/2 lb.) and garlic powder and it turned out great. My 3 year old enjoyed it as well. I would cook this again.

Great job on this recipe Alice. I wasn't quite sure about it when preparing it, but I'm so glad I went out of my comfort zone and tried it. We've already made it twice, in a week!

I really liked this recipe! BUT I thought it could use some heartiness or something. So I added about 1 pound of ground beef which I browned before putting it into the casserole and I put a large can of mushrooms in there as well! (I mixed it in with the cream of celery and milk)

My husband and a guest frowned at the idea of a cabbage casserole. I just wanted to do something different with cabbage. And it was a hit!! You couldn't even tell that the vegetable was cabbage. I don't cook with salt, but I did add the Adolbo with cumin seasoning. Turned out really nice. Will definitely be preparing this again in the future.

This is a yummy recipe! We added a pound of bulk sausage, because my hubby loves meat in a meal. We also sauteed a whole onion, because we love onion! A+

This recipe was ok, but I probably wouldn't make it again without some revisions. I thought it turned out very oily. My husband commented that it tasted like warm coleslaw and kind of slid down your throat. The cornflakes at the bottom of the pan just turned all mushy. I also ended up adding some seasoning (garlic, parsley, etc...) otherwise it would have been pretty bland with just the salt and pepper. The recipe was worth a try (because cabbage was on sale), but I wasn't very pleased with it.

The unique quality of this recipe, was that the cabbage didn't need to be pre-cooked. I liked the way it was easy to cut in squares for serving.

Very tasty spin on cabbage. The kids even ate it without one complaint! Will make this again and again. Thanks!

This dish really made me proud tonight! I have never made a cabbage casserole before and I tried it out on company. Everyone really enjoyed it. I followed the recipe to the letter, other than adding a few spices such as garlic powder, red pepepr flakes and celery seed. I covered the top completely in the chedder cheese and it really makes for a pretty presentation. This dish is perfect, but I wonder what a mixture of different cheeses on top would taste like? I may try that next time. Great recipe!

This was very easy to make, and taste great. I thought it would be a way to get the "boys" in the house to eat their green veggies - didn't work! I took it to work and EVERYONE loved it. I have never made a recipe that called for cornflakes and wasn't too crazy about the idea, but turned out just fine.

I was looking for a recipe for cooked cabbage and sausage. This was so delicous! I changed it up a bit by browning pork sausage and after cooking the sausage, I used about 2tbls of heavy cream to deglaze the bottom of the skillet. Then put the cream/grissle aside. I later added that to the cream mixture. I also added the sausage to the cabbage/onion mixture. It was worthy of leftovers the next day. The cornflakes worked perfect for added crunch.

This recipe is very simple but wonderful... I made it with Crackers instead of Cornflakes and everyone in my office raved about it! I am going to try the cornflakes next time. A+ recipe in my book!!!
