"The flavors really blend well in this casserole. The crunch of the cornflakes adds to the texture contrast."

This dish really made me proud tonight! I have never made a cabbage casserole before and I tried it out on company. Everyone really enjoyed it. I followed the recipe to the letter, other than adding a few spices such as garlic powder, red pepepr flakes and celery seed. I covered the top completely in the chedder cheese and it really makes for a pretty presentation. This dish is perfect, but I wonder what a mixture of different cheeses on top would taste like? I may try that next time. Great recipe!

The taste of this casserole is surprising--I guess it's the mayonnaise, and it doesn't taste strongly of cabbage. I added 1/2 lb. of browned sausage to make it a meal, and we both really enjoyed it. I took other reviewer's advice and put all the cornflakes on the top. This is good for something different.

This is absolutely delicious!! I can see why several reviewers mentioned making it twice in one week. I used Special K for the cornflakes and coleslaw mix for the cabbage. I only made a small casserole because I wasn't sure I would like it, and now I wish I would have made [alot] more.

I made this and the Guinness Corned Beef for a group of people for St.Patty's Day. No one had ever eaten anything like it nor were they sure about it. Well, they all loved both dishes and kept telling me so throughout the meal. My only change was since I had no mayo I used sour cream and miracle whip instead.

I am usually not a fan of cooked cabbage recipes. I tried this one with the recommendation of adding cooked breakfast sausage (1/2 lb.) and garlic powder and it turned out great. My 3 year old enjoyed it as well. I would cook this again.

The unique quality of this recipe, was that the cabbage didn't need to be pre-cooked. I liked the way it was easy to cut in squares for serving.

Never would have thought to combine these ingredients... but, this was delicious! When I said the name of the side dish, the word "ew" came up several times, but upon trying this recipe, opinions were quickly changed. I sprinkled celery seed and garlic powder over the cabbage/onions and added paprika over the cheese/cornflakes on top. I didn't mix the bottom layer of corn flakes w/ butter due to some reviews that they got soggy. I think this would be awesome with colby jack as well. Mmmmmmmmm... thanks, Alice!

This is a yummy recipe! We added a pound of bulk sausage, because my hubby loves meat in a meal. We also sauteed a whole onion, because we love onion! A+
