Despite all of the rave reviews, I thought this to be just ok. I didn't like how soggy the bottom got, but maybe baking on a bakers rack would help that. The chicken was moist and the flavor was pretty good though, although if I make again, I will use fresh garlic instead of the powder.

Excellent, used mozzerella instead of cheddar w/ Italian breadcrumbs. Served w/ spaghetti and sauce

My family loved this recipe and have requested it again! I did make a few modifications. I was out of milk, so I took the advice of another on here and instead of milk and egg, I used sour cream. I was also out of bread crumbs and Crisp rice cereal, so I substituted stuffing mix that I ground into crumbs and some corn chex that I crumbled a bit so that there wasn't any big chunks. I cooked these for about 45 minutes thanks to the advice of another on here, and they turned out perfect! Moist chicken and a nice crunchy coating! MMMmmMMMmmmm MM! (Don't tell my mother, but it is much better than her baked chicken!)

I'm not a big chicken person but this sounded so good so I had to try it. Let me say it was a huge success in our house. Even I loved it! The only thing I did differently was try the Panko bread crumbs in place of the rice cereal. I also used chicken tenderloins instead of the chicken breasts. I scattered shredded chedder cheese over the top so it was all melty. The chicken was nice and moist inside and cheesy on top. Excellent. I'll be making this again!

This is what I call a "keeper" - reading the other reviews, I think next time I will use sour cream instead of egg and milk and Panko crumbs instead of bread crumbs - also, I didn't have chicken breasts so I used bone-in thighs with the skins removed - worked excellent with those also, for 45 minutes at 350 degrees

OMG!!! this is the best recipe and the most simple one that ive come across in ages for chicken. I used chicken breast with the bone and skin still on as I didnt have any skinless or boneless. The only thing I do different is I put on a sprayed rack on a tinfoil covered pan. This way the you dont have to add more calories by buttering the dish before hand. It also makes the chicken crisp all the way around it. My kids just loved it, and it was so tender inside. This is a recipe I am going to send around to all my friends and co-workers. A matter of fact, I had it in the oven right now. Just 10 mins more to go and yum lol.

I've made this twice now. The first time a written & the second time I used tuna steaks & parmesan cheese. Both were very yummy & even my kids (5 & 2 years old) gobbled it up. May try with halibut.

THIS IS A FAVORITE IN OUR HOUSE!!! We make it at LEAST once a week now, with my Mom's mashed potatoes recipe as a side. I use the leftover rice cereal/cheese/breadcrumb mixture that fell off the chicken when covering it and pat it on top of the chicken in the baking pan. I then cover all the chicken in the baking pan with extra cheese (we love cheese). IT IS SOOOO DELICIOUS! *ALSO* I do not use Italian Bread-crumbs, I've never really liked those- so I bought Panko plain bread-crumbs and first used them for this recipe and that is what I now use for everything. This recipe deserves 10 stars!!! Thank you!

I used six thinly sliced chicken breasts, had to double what the recipe called for. I sprayed my cooking dishes with Pam instead of using the 1/4 cup butter, but I did use spray butter on the top of the chicken. I cooked for 45 minutes. My bf and his kids loved it. I added a little bit of cayenne pepper for an extra zip. My boyfriend begs me to make this now. Its definitely a keeper.

First off THANK YOU for this GREAT recipe!!! I used McCormick Crusting Blends Italian Herb and Cheese with Panko Bread crumbs and added a few dashes of crushed red peppers... I also substituted mozzarella and cheddar mixed cheese rather than just Cheddar and WOW this was awesome and got rave reviews from the family! I can't wait for my husband to come home and try it!! Dont be afraid to make little adjustments to your taste. I can imagine changing little things on this and coming out with a new flavor each time!! Happy Cooking!

Husband loves this recipe and he's not a big fan of chicken breasts. I didn't put butter in the bottom of pan per other reviewers suggested and it still turns out great. Also, didn't have crispy rice cereal so I crushed Special K cereal and used that.

We really enjoyed this! The only change I made was to eliminate the butter completely, I just couldn't in good conscience add 3/4 stick of butter to something that already had a cup of cheese in it, lol. I sprayed the pan with non stick cooking spray, then with spray "butter," and also sprayed the chicken with spray butter before putting it in the oven. I thought this had great flavor, and I'd make it again.

This is one of the best baked chicken I have tasted. I have a Chef Service (providing dinners on a nightly basis). I made this chicken, served with Seasoned Potatoes and Green Beans. My clients raved and have requested this chicken dish be included on my monthly menu. It is definitely a winner!

We eat chicken several times a week, so I'm always on the lookout for something different. I didn't have any crispy rice cereal, so I used roughly crushed Ritz crackers and this still turned out nice and crispy. Because other reviewers thought the chicken lacked flavor, I floured the chicken and added the seasonings to each piece to ensure it had more spice than flour. I also added some cayenne pepper, and am happy I did, because it gave it that something extra. I also used nonstick spray on the bottom and drizzled butter on top, per other suggestions. My picky 4-year-old gobbled it up and my husband thought it was good too. I will definitely try this again the next time I have rice cereal on hand and see how it turns out. Thanks for sharing!
