Funny - followed recipe exactly except for adding 1 egg to bind it - put more horseradish than it called for (love horseradish) - & yet, didn't really taste neither it nor the bacon bits. Close to bland...

These burgers were excellent and a big hit with the kids! So easy to make and a lot of flavor. We have made these a few times since I found the recipe, each time exactly as posted. We also used a more expensive ground sirloin as a nice treat and cheaper alternative to steak, this compliments the flavors of the ingredients amazingly. The only change I would like to try is a very sharp cheddar and shred it myself.. I think I would love the extra kick. Thanks for this recipe.

Husband liked these hamburgers. I used about 1.5 lbs of ground beef to make 6 patties. Served with "Belles Hamburger Buns," "Old Fashioned Onion Rings," "Pineapple Carrot Salad," and "Mom's Coleslaw."

I left the bacon bits out but added real grilled bacon as a topping to the burger. Usually I love horseradish but I just didn't think it tasted right in a burger.

Very good! Followed recipe exactly only cooking on stove. I love horseradish, but even I would cut down the amount by half next time and maybe up the bacon. Will make again. Thanks!

These burgers were good, but I didn't really taste a big difference in them and the normal burgers I make. The horseradish left a subtle flavor that I enjoyed, but I didn't taste the bacon at all-- and I used real bacon! One of my guests said he could taste it, though. I also added Liquid Smoke and Worcestershire. Due to prior comments, I left the cheese out to spare my grill the mess and just added cheese on top.

These burgers were quite good, however, I'm still on the quest for the ultimate burger recipe. Made as written, with the exception of adding a few good shakes of our favorite BBQ sauce to the mixture. Love the horseradish, for a bit of zip.

The horseradish flavor stood out too much. I had no problem with the patty keeping its form, because I used all fresh cheeses. Just okay.

This was by far, the best burger I have ever had! My hubby added 1/2 teasp. liquid smoke, a teasp. of worshire sauce, an egg and some bread crumbs. I love it!

Good, but nothing surprising... actually less bacon and cheese flavor than just adding it on at the end... I didn't get hardly any horseraddish so I think I'd need to double it.

Got lots of compliments, but a bit bland for my taste. Very juicy. Next time I will add a little more horseradish and salt and add wors. sauce.

I made these for our fourth of July BBQ and everyone loved them. I also added about a tablespoon of minced garlic and a dash of wors. sauce. I used real bacon that I fried earlier that afternoon instead of the real bacon bits.great recipe, I will be making this again.

Great recipe. I left out the horseradish and added about 2 shakes of liquid smoke. My dear hubby thought they were good but his last comment was "I sure don't won't those everytime we grill burgers". I have to agree but they are good for a change.
