I love this recipe. I have been using it every year for about 3 or 4 years now. It is very sweet and most of us use it as a "desert" rather than a side dish. Thanks!!

I never liked sweet potatoes before but my husband loves them so I decided to make this recipe. I recommened using canned sweet potatoes. They are the perfect texture for mashing. The casserole was a hit! I made it for an office party and had five co-workers ask me for the recipe. Will definatly make this again.

We ate about two spoonfuls of this and threw the rest away. Just too many flavor combinations? Not sure what exactly, but it ended up being a gooey mess and tasted horrible! Will definitely delete this one from the recipe box

Confusing recipe rendered an inedible mess. I think the recipe means to call for 4 C. mashed sweet potatoes, not cut up sweet potatoes. Knowing what I know now, I may try again with the correct information.

I made this 2 years ago at Thanksgiving and now my family BEGS for it all the time. This recipe is the BEST sweet potato casserole that anyone has ever eaten, as you will see when you make it!!! I only use 1 cup of the white sugar, and this is plenty. Enjoy :)

Anything that gets my step son to eat sweet potatoes is ok in my book. Everyone that tries this loves it. I put the sweet potatoes wrapped in foil in with the turkey for about an hour then they are easy to peel and mash. I will continue to make this for Thanksgivings to come.

OMG! These were the best sweet papas I've ever had. The only thing I did different was use about half the white sugar and increased the brown sugar to about 1/2 - 3/4 cup jam packed. Oh, and also I mixed in some mini marshmellows into the potatoes. Simply wonderful!

Loved this recipe! I made it for Thanksgiving, not a week ago, and my husband begged me to make it again tonight. He told me it was the best thing he's EVER eaten!! I cut the white sugar in half and used 1/2 cup of margarine both times. Will make again...Tonight!

I made this for thanksgiving dinner. My mother in law had given me a recipe that my husband loved, and I was tired of making it. So after going over what other people had wrote I used 1/2 cup of sugar with my canned yams, same with the topping I cut it down to 1/2 cup of butter and 1/2 cup of sugar. I did not crush the corn flakes (to give it more texture on top) and I added marshmellows to the topping. The end result was wonderful! My husband says it is a tie with his momma's!
