I agree with Kellie M's review.
Followed this recipe to a tee and came out with very little overall flavor and spongy texture once colled down.
It's like the croutons nutralize things too much and take out most of the flavor.
Ideas would be chunks of tomato, grape tomatoes, chopped sun dried tomatoes, and definately needs the flavor of processed cheese slices flavor inside.
Not sure that would cook well though. Needs more salty/sweet flavor. some left over hame chops would be great. Added salt even.
Maybe 2 min before taking out of oven, cover the top with proceesed cheese slices, bacon cuts/ham, sund dried tomato mixture over cheese clices, when cheese is melted half way, take out.
That would make it taste good. Would also cut half of the cheese inside the casorole.
