This is very good bread and was simple to make. I enjoyed the process. The dough was smooth and silky. I used one cup of whole wheat flour and canola oil instead of vegetable. These baked up so nice and pretty. Great recipe.

This recipe was fairly quick and easier to follow than other Challah recipes I have found. It didn't taste like a traditional Challah. The sugar in it was barely noticeable once baked. It tasted like a very dense white bread. It still was very good and looked beautiful. Just not "sweet" enough for my Challah tastes.
