I love chai tea it's my fave and I was excited to find a chai tea mix. I made it today and tried it. It was good but I think it had to much cream when I make it again I will cut down on some of creamers. I haven't tried it with milk perhaps that might make it taste better. All in all still a keeper :)

I found cardamom in the bulk spice section for a lot less $ .50 for 5 Tbls. This recipe is delicious. I made it with vanilla extract and omitted the instant tea and mix it with black tea or green tea.

I like the flavor lots just the way it is, but there is way too much sugar in it for my liking (and I like my regular tea sweet) I think that I will cut the sugar down by a whole cup next time and add more from there if I think it needs it. I will make it again, though!

I have made this tea mix every winter for several years. I make a huge batch and give it away as gifts at Christmas time. If you want to make a low fat sugar free version using Splenda and lo fat or sugar free versions of the creamers it still turns out fantastic!

This recipe is fabulous. With snow falling outside and the temperture in the 30 degree range for the day, this tea just warms the body. I mixed up a recipe today, following the suggestions above the recipe. I also added a 1 1/2 teaspoons of pumpkin spice since the coffee shop I visit has a chai that tastes like "pumpkin pie in a cup". Thank you for sharing this recipe. I no longer have to pay $4 for a mug of chia.

Excellent. I am enjoying some right now. I didn't have 2 tsp ginger, so used only one. I did add the cardamom, nutmeg and white pepper as suggested, and also used 1 1/2 cups splenda instead of sugar. It is tasty! Not quite as creamy as some, but I'm guessing if I made it with milk, it would be more so...however more caloric as well. Great recipe!

FANTASTIC!!! I was in love with Tastefully Simple Chai Tea Mix, but that could break the bank in a hurry, so I searched for a recipe that would be similiar and this is better! Instead of buying two different creamers I used two cups of the French Vanilla (sugar free) creamer.

My pregnancy craving the past few weeks has been chai tea, but it was getting really expensive to keep buying it at the coffee shop. I decided to try this mix and it's WONDERFUL! The only thing I omitted was the cardamon and I didn't notice a difference. I'm so excited to have found this recipe! I will be enjoying chai tea a lot more often now, and can't wait to serve it to my friends!

I really liked this chai recipe, but I found the spices to be a little expensive to continue to make the recipe. Luckily I found that McCormick made a Chai spice blend that I could get at my grocery store. So in the recipe I make now, I replaced the spices with 2 tbps of the Chai blend. I find it works very well, and can make the recipe a lot cheaper!

This is a very top quality chai tea mix! You get ALOT of mix for the cost of everything. 36 servings for about ~$17 compared to $4.50 a cup at a local coffee shop. I wouldnt change a thing.

Very good! It makes a refreshing drink served iced on a hot summer day. I substituted soy mild powder for regular milk powder and I thought it tasted just as good!

I LOVED this recipe. I added the vanilla to the sugar, but i still used the 2 cups total of non dairy creamer. I also added fresh grated nutmeg, and skipped the cardamom since i wasn't going to pay $15 for the small bottle, so i just doubled the ginger. Still turned out amazing. I am making another double batch right now.

This recipe looked really good and is well rated, so I took a risk and made it for my friend's birthday. I made up the mix and put it in a pretty jar with a homemade label on the side. Great gift idea! We tried some together and were very impressed, but felt that it needed waaaay more spices! I will be making this again (and she will too!), but we'll be tweaking the spice levels. I'm a Canadian user, so I took a fellow commentor's advice and just mixed the tea into a cup of Orange Pekoe black tea. Worked great!

AWESOME chai recipe. It tastes so smooth & has a delicious honey/spice taste. This chai is a little spicier than what I have normally encountered from a store-bought mix, but I loved it! You do need to be sure that you grind up the mixture very finely to avoid having grounds in your mug. I gave this as a gift to my mom & a friend & they loved it, too.

Sooooooo good. This is the best chai tea mix there is! And probably the best I've ever tasted. I only made 2 small adjustments: I halved the cardamom, and I opted no for the pepper, but I did add the nutmeg. Delicious, delicious, delicious! I prefer and iced chai tea, so I mix up 1 cup hot water, to 2 tablespoons mix, let cool and then whip in the blender. I add some ice, and viola! Instant iced chai tea!
