I would give this 10 stars if I could. I am now starting my second batch of this because I went through it so quickly. This is better than Starbucks for sure. Be sure to play with the quantity for your drink...my cups are large and took 4 heaping spoons full.

Awesome... I adore this mix. I do think it tastes better with a bit less sugar and mixed with milk instead of water.

Very yummy! I cut back on the sugar because I could only find sweetened tea with lemon in Maine in February - and the lemon adds a nice zip! Who needs Panera when you have this mix in the pantry?? Thanks for sharing!

Great flavor, but a little thin. Added more powdered milk so it wasn't so watery.

YUM! This mix is sooo easy to make. I used all of the spices plus 1/2 t. allspice and 1/2 t. nutmeg. I also purchased whole cardamom pods from World Market and ground them, which was much cheaper than buying it already ground, and I cut the sugar back to about 2 cups. With hot water this drink is good, but add a little milk and it is absolutely divine! No more need for the coffee shop!

This is GREAT! Like everyone else, I dropped the sugar. I used 1 cup sugar and 1 cup splenda. AND GUESS WHAT???? Only 1 Weight Watcher Point!!!! I can even put a teaspoon of fat free half and half in to keep it at 1 point. Awesome breakfast drink. Thanks for the recipe. I've been using it for a couple of years now, but just realized how little in points it cost me :)

I love this recipe. I have made 3 batches now. The 4th batch I made I replaced the 1 cup each of unflavored non-dairy creamer and french vanilla non-dairy creamer with 2 cups IRISH CREME non-dairy creamer and only used 1 1/2 cups sugar. Now I REALLY like this recipe also. Not to mention my co-workers like the irish creme recipe a little better than the original one. Now the thing is I want to replace the IRISH CREME non-dairy creamer with the GINGERBREAD non-dairy creamer, but it's seasonal and I can't find any. So if someone would try it and the review it, I would greatly appreciate it. For all of my batches I used the tsp. each allspice and nutmeg but NOT the white pepper.

As good, if not better, than the stuff you pay $5 a cup for at the coffee house! Followed others suggestions & only used 1.5 cups sugar, and was perfect. Gave this out for Christmas to several friends & now I'm getting calls because they're almost out! Love this chai & will keep this recipe.

My mother was a HUGE fan of the Dunkin Donuts chai tea. They recently discontinued this recipe and she has been going through withdrawal. We just made this version and both agree *as we sit here drinking it* that it is just as yummy as the Dunkin Donuts one...Yum!! Thank you!!!

As written, it's slightly too sweet for my taste. I cut back to 2 cups sugar for 36 servings. I also substitute Splenda for some of the sugar (or use Splenda sugar blend). Other than that, this is wonderful! Thanks for submitting it!

I made this for my daughter who is addicted to Starbuck's Chai Tea, she buys one almost everyday. She thought this was actually better than theirs! Since I made this she has saved alot of money, and we're getting ready to make some more.

I made this for xmas & put in the little xmas treat bags with the twisty ties. (each bag 3-4 servings) I also in a seperate bag put 4 homemade choc chip cookies & tied together for teacher gifts. used ground spices from Penzey Spices (so much better than you can get at grocery store & cheaper) I mixed in large bowl & then put in blender to grind. It is a sweet tea but smells so good with the spices. everyone liked it & asked for recipe.

I added the white pepper, allspice, and nutmeg it was really good. The cardamom is a little strong so next time I will only do half of what it calls for. I also only did 2 cups of sugar and used fat free vanilla creamer. I like to make mine with water then top it off with milk. Very very good, compares to Starbucks and Panera!

I loved this recipe! It tasted wonderful but I did add a little bit of coriander and some nutmeg instead of cloves. They smell awful. There have been a lot of reviewers saying that cardamom is too expensive, but if you're able to find a bulk food store like the BulkBarn chain it shouldn't be a problem. You can buy spices looses in whatever amount you need. I got the cardamom for less than a dollar. (Whole, so I had to grind it in a coffee grinder.) This works great for a lot of spices.

love this recipe I used one cup of splenda and added cloves, left out the caramon. The only thing that I see is that there are quite a bit of settlings at the bottom of the cup. What could my problem be and suggestions would be appreciated.

I made a batch of this to give my friend for Xmas. She absolutely adored it! I doubled the amount of spices and used approx 1 C of the Splenda/Sugar blend instead of sugar. It's just the right amount of spicy, and creamy and sweet without being cloying and overpowering. I would definitely make this again!! Yum!

What a great drink mix to have on hand, especially during our cold winter months in northeastern Ohio. Thanks to all the great reviews, I (1)reduced the sugar to 2C.(will reduce to 1-1/2C. next time)(2)omitted the cardamom and (3)added the allspice, nutmeg and white pepper listed in the header. Thanks for a "keeper"!
