Che Guevara's Ceviche

Submitted by: SF
An appetizer of revolutionary proportions. Ceviche includes 'raw' fish that is 'cooked' in lime juice, prep time is a bit long but worth it. Shrimp is optional but suggested.

This recipe is one of my family's favorites. It can be served as a meal or as an appetizer, as it is normally served in most authentic Mexican restaurants.

Authentic Mexican Ceviche with a tomato base. This version uses shrimp, but any seafood of your choice will work.

This has always been a crowd pleaser in my home. This is wonderful as an appetizer served on tostadas or even with tortilla chips. Make sure to refrigerate before you serve, it tastes best when very cold. I like to serve on tostadas with a thin layer of mayonnaise for a nice refreshing lunch.

A delicious shrimp ceviche recipe that only gets better over night! Bright and refreshing, with the uncommon addition of cucumber. Adjust the heat to your personal taste with a sprinkling of hot pepper sauce.

This Peruvian ceviche is made with a mix of shrimp and tilapia, and is made spicy with the addition of a habanero pepper. A garnish of potato slices guarantees an authentic Peruvian dish!

This is a wonderfully elegant trio of seafood in a refreshing and tangy sauce! This three seafood ceviche is worth trying! worth trying. Serve it in martini or margarita glasses and garnish with cilantro leaves and slices of lime. Serve with chips. I make everything ahead and marinate, but don't put the avocado in until close to serving.

Jose's Shrimp Ceviche

Shrimp are marinated in lime juice, chopped, then tossed with tomatoes, hot peppers, celery and avocado for a zesty appetizer. Serve as a dip with tortilla chips or as a topping on a tostada spread with mayo. The fearless palate might like this with hot sauce.
