I wasn't that impressed with this recipe. It was rather spicy from the red pepper flakes, so those could definitely be cut down along with the bread crumbs. It also was on the high fat side, the bottom was swimming in butter. I also ended up adding extra cheese to it because once the topping was eaten, the rest of the cauliflower was plain.

Yum! This was really tasty. We've tried with frozen AND fresh cauliflower; it works both ways. The only reason it didn't get five stars: too high a fat and calorie content to eat this regularly. But it sure is tasty. Also, we accidentally reversed the amounts of red pepper flakes and salt, putting in a teaspoon of salt and a pinch of red pepper flakes, and we really liked it that way!

I have made this recipe over and over as it has become a family favorite. My husband and I love it and it is really easy to make too. I have also done this recipe with broccoli when I didn't have a cauliflower and it was great too.

I liked this and will make it again but may I please make 3 suggestions? This recipe has the potential for greatness but there are some changes necessary. #1 Reduce the breadcrumbs; I agree with one of the previous reviewers~ 2/3 cup is way too much, it absorbs all of the liquid. #2 Use a combination of cheese mixtures; Cheddar and American, Cheddar and Jack etc..it works! Last, feel free to use frozen cauliflower, if you like. I encourage the folks to give this recipe another try, it is a delicious way to get the family to eat "white brocolli".

I LOVE this recipe! Quick and easy and very tasty. I didn't find it dry at all but the cheddar got a little chewy. I will probably leave it out next time. It is tasty enough with just the bread crumb mix. (I didn't add the pepper either) YUM!

Like a lot of the others, I found this extremely dry and will not make it again. We LOVE cauliflower but this just didn't make the grade. I'll have to just stick with steamed cauliflower with cheese sauce. Sorry

FOR THOSE WHO THINK THE RECIPE IS DRY; TRY BREAKING UP THE CAULIFLOWER AFTER COOKING IT AND USING A LITTLE LESS BREADCRUMBS....THAT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SIDE DISHES FOR COMPANY..

I made this recipe for my family at Thanksgiving and they loved it. It was eaten faster than our traditional cheesy potatoes, everyone's favorite. I'll be sure to make it again next year!

I'm not sure why this seems to be getting such glowing reviews. I thought it was dry and uninteresting. I really like cauliflower, but I didn't like it this way. . .oh, well, different strokes for different folks!

I buy whatever vegetable is on sale for each week. When cauliflower is on sale I buy it but only have one way to fix it. I tried this recipe b/c all ingredients are in the house already. I LOVED IT! My dad also loved it. I used less red pepper than called for. I have also made it w/broccoli and my husband loved it.

Very good. A new way to cook cauliflower. One kid liked it a lot, the other wouldn't touch it. I would reduce the red pepper next time, though. Thanks!

Very tasty! I cooked the whole thing in the backyard on my barbecue (gaz grill with a side burner) hence no cauliflower smell in the house. A keeper!

Good way to prepare cauliflower. However, the next time I make it, I would reduce the amount of red pepper flakes by half.
