I just made this and my husband said, "Basically all this is, is cooked cauliflower with cheese on it." It's an alright dish, but not something I will make again.

This was ok - next time I will double or triple the cheese. It just seemed kind of dry and tasted just like buttered bread crumbs.

Bored with the usually vegetables... I tried this cauliflower recipe. Based on the reviews and what I just ate. Even my husband who isn't into new vegs liked it. Parboiling the califlower is a great idea. Hubby liked the red pepper kick in what is typically a bland veggie. The cheese helped too. I made this modification to reduce carbs and butter fat. Used crumbled soy chips, typically 8 or 9 carbs in one 1 cup. Reducing the fat will be better next time. I panicked when I saw that the consistency was off and added 1/4c of water. Too much separation. Might try 1 tbsp flour base for the butter. I know I'll do this again because even with all my mods, it was very edible!

I really don't like Cauliflower much, but it was on sale, so I figured I could find a recipe here... THIS RECIPE ROCKS! OHMIGOD, I could have eaten the whole thing myself! It's so easy! No need to wait for a special occasion. Put some extra cheese ontop tho'.

This was such a nice change from the usual drenched in cheese sauce cauliflower casserole...That's probably why people are complaining it's dry..I did lessen the butter and didn't measure the chili flakes, I also just sprinkled the cheese without measuring..I am sure I didn't use a cup...really easy and a good base to add other spices/cheeses to it as well..thanks for the recipe!!

I only used 2 tablespoons of butter(unsalted). I also have my red pepper in a grinder-I only turned it once and just used that(a little more than a pinch)I added some of the cheedar cheese to the Cauliflower after I boiled it-while it was still super hot and than put it in the casserole dish and made as directed from there. It was soooo good! I'm always looking for hearty comfort foods for fall and winter-Instant top 5!

I love this recipe. I don't use the butter, and I add a little bit of chopped garlic. I'll also use any cheese I've got in the house and it's always fantastic.

It was a little oily from too much butter. I would reduce the amount used next time. I thought it could stand to have more chili peppers added for more of a kick. I didn't have any cheddar on hand and had to use mozzarella, it was still good but next time I will use what is called for.

This is my favorite way to eat cauliflower now. I changed very little. I do make sure I break up the cauliflower small. I use 1/2 tea red pepper flakes and add some fresh parmesan. I mix all ingredients and pour over cauliflower before putting it in oven.

I made it as written and was not impressed. A bit greasy, too many bread crumbs, flavor passable but I wouldn't go back for 2nds.

Very good. It is great not drenched in a heavy sauce. The flavor of the cauuliflower comes through; even cauliflower haters will love this.

I read all the reviews and took people's advice to pour the melted butter and red pepper flakes over the cauliflower first and then cover with the other ingredients. I didn't have cheddar cheese at home so I used an Italian blend. It turned out wonderfully and the leftovers I brought to work for lunch reheated really well. Thanks for the great recipe!

I didn't like this recipe very much. Way too much butter, and the consistency after baking wasn't good either.

It came out really good and I am not someone that really likes cauliflower. I especially liked that the red pepper flakes gave it an extra kick. My boyfriend and I ended up eathing the whole pan.

I forgot to rate this one and I came across it while looking for something to use up my broccoli with. Anyway-this was delicious! My boyfriend and I couldn't get enough of it. I scaled it down a bit but wish I hadn't because the next day we had to split one serving. We like things spicy so I just shook a bunch of red pepper flakes in, and wow! I think I went a little overboard, but I tend to do that with spices I like...oops! All in all it's a great recipe. I think I'll make it tonight as I think back of how yummy it was. A must try!
