We absolutely love this banana bread recipe and make it often, probably twice a month. It seems unusual to have banana bread out of a 9 X 13 pan instead of loaf pan, but you just get more that way! We don't change anything about the recipe. We find the best combo of bananas to use is about half really ripe and half not too ripe. Great bread!

Yum! Go for brown sugar instead of white and some cinnamon. Perfect for a bundt pan. So yummy. Thanks for sharing!

Very moist, tender recipe. I use yogurt instead of sour cream, and cut the sugar to 1 cup. Tossing in a half cup of chopped walnuts was a very nice addition as well.

Fabulous , easy to do by hand not worth doing in a machine, I sprinkled a little cinnamon in the baking pans and no matter how many I make- they're gone the same day.I keep having to make this recipe. Thank-you(Cathy!)

The best banana bread ever! The only change I made was to use half white and half brown sugar and to add a couple teaspoons of cinnamon. Oh and if I am making it for my husband I add a cup of chocolate chips (dredge them in flour first so they don't all sink to the bottom).

Cut back on the sugar and it's 5 stars but as is, 4. I doubled everything, replaced the sugar with brown sugar, and it only needed 1 cup [for a double batch]. Other editions were 2 packets of banana nut oatmeal, 1/2 cup applesauce, 2 tsp. cinnamon, and 1/2 tsp. more baking powder to make up for the added heavyness. No neeeed for these editions though, i just have a habit of throwing in everything but the kitchen sink in recipes.

I just made this bread and it turned out spongy, not very flavourful to be honest. Not a recipe worth keeping in my opinion.

This is the ABSOLUTE best banana bread recipe I have ever made. I make it with cake flour for Banana Cake and I make it with a combination of whole wheat and white flour for Banana Bread and add other ingredients like flax seed and walnuts for texture and fibre. Thanks!

This is my husband's favorite recipe. The sour cream gives it a nice kick. Sometimes we add nuts as well if we have some leftover from other recipes. Always moist and is even good frozen and rethawed at a later time.

The absolute best Banana Bread ever. I have not changed a thing in the recipe; it's perfect the way it is. This is the only way I make Banana Bread; I have the recipe memorized.

Heavenly!! This is a wonderfully moist bread--just what I had a craving for! I did as someone suggested and instead of all white sugar, I replaced it with 1 cup of brown and the other 1/3 cup with white. I would highly recommend this delicious bread. Thank you so much, Cathy!!

This is an excellent recipe. I tweaked it a little, though. I used whole wheat flour, more banana, about 3/4 cup sugar, plus a tiny bit of honey (maybe a tablespoon), chopped walnuts, and LOTS of chocolate chips. I've also learned to butter and sugar (instead of flour) pans. It makes the crust carmelized and crispy. YUM!

I have tried many banana bread recipes. This one is amazing. I of course add a bit of different items like chocolate chips or sprikle nuts on top. It all depends on what my family feels like that day. Thank you
