I wanted this to be more of a spicy chicken chilli/stew, so I omitted the tomato soup and the canned whole tomatoes, and cut way back on the chicken broth. Apart from adding some Adobo seasoning, I made this pretty much as written. It turned out hearty and filling. It's easy to make, and I usually have all the ingredients in the cupboard. Thanks!

This recipe earned all 4's and 5's from the tasters. Really good and hearty. We used shredded cheddar as our topping- yum.

Very good! Reminds me of my taco soup recipe but is actually better. Only changes I made: I used low salt variety on all canned items, low fat sour cream and shipped the whole tomatoes. Will make again, Thanks!

There are so many ingredients I almost changed my mind about making this one...glad I didn't! It's fantastic. I thought a jar of salsa was wierd, but it all comes together in the end. It was great with some tortillas and cheddar cheese on top. One hint though if you want to freeze your leftovers...don't add the sour cream into the pot. Put a dollop on a bowl. I added it into the pot and when I froze/defrosted, there were little speckles of sour cream floating in it. Still tasted great but looked funny. Thanks for the recipe!!

This was a really good recipe to get my wheels turning! I omitted the tomato soup, as we're not big tomato eaters, and used the sour cream at the table. It was still extremely flavorful, and the salsa and diced tomatoes added just a touch of tomato flavor. Great recipe!

Yummy! We eat a lot of spicy food, and this was not very spicy to us, especially after adding sour cream. We even added a tsp of cayenne pepper.

Wow! I loved it! I used 1/2 water and 1/2 low-sodium chicken broth, and i also used mexican stewed tomatoes instead of diced tomatoes. I also cut back a little on chili powder because I don't like too spicy. I also omitted the salsa because I didn't have any. This was fantastic! I will definitely make this again!

I made this several months ago and am finally getting around to writing a review. The reason I remembered to write a review is because I had saved some in the freezer and just defrosted it for dinner. This is a great soup kindof reminds me of a chili with southwestern flavors. I believe I added quite a bit more garlic and chili powder just because I like my food to have lots of spice. By the way in my opinion most soups and stews taste better the next day after the flavors have had time to blend.

I have made it three times and have goofed up in one way or the other every time (Young bachelor). And I still can't put it down after I start eating it. This is going to single-handedly make me fat. But the best news of all is that it's really not bad at all. Maybe the sour cream, but meh. I'll deal with an extra calorie or 2.

I'm pretty sure this is the best soup I have ever tasted. It calls for a lot of ingredients, but it makes a lot of food and is totally worth it. I have made this twice and will make it many more times. Very good with homemade baked tortilla chips.

My new favorite soup! Very tasty. I added a little more of the spices but that was to suit our tastes. The only thing I will do different is add only one can of diced tomatoes which I will change to petite diced and leave out the other cans. It was tomato overload with the three cans and there are tomatoes in the salsa. I also followed the advice of cooking the garlic and onions first then adding everything else. Also instead of chili beans, I added black beans. The sour cream in the soup is a nice touch. To me that's what makes this soup stand out. Warmed tortillas to dip adds the finishing touch.
