This is my family's favorite dinner! We've made it several times, and have altered a few things:
There is WAY too much liquid as written, so I leave out the mushroom soup, and use 1 cup each of broth & milk. I also reccomend doubling the amount of noodles (we use fusili). We also double the amount of saltines, and add a little shredded cheese to the top before adding the cracker crumbs & cashews. Feel free to play around with the veggies--we use just broccoli instead of onion, celery, green pepper, and water chestnuts.
