I thought this soup was very tasty. I used yellow onion instead of green since that is what I had on hand. Next time I would simmer the onion in the broth until tender then add it to the flour and butter roux.

This was pretty good. My very picky husband liked it, but not the kids. I doubled the carrots and used regular onion since I didn't have green ones. I would prefer it pureed.
