Best Carolina BBQ Meat Sauce

I've had barbeque in some of the best little places in the Carolina's, and this stuff rules there! Fantastic on pork! Or try brushing some on chicken as it finishes off the grill!

This barbecue sauce has all the right stuff: ketchup, brown sugar, butter, mustard powder, celery seeds, lemon juice, onion and chopped green onion. Look out chicken and ribs!

A sweet vinegar and mayonnaise marinade with a good grind of black pepper stirred in. Nice on chicken or pork. A real southern BBQ sauce. Makes one cup.

This is a very simple Carolina style vinegar based BBQ sauce. A friend of the family gave us this recipe several years ago and after a few tweaks and additions, this is the best BBQ sauce that I've ever had. You combine all of the ingredients and then enjoy. This is easily scaled up or down.

East Carolina Barbeque Sauce

This barbeque sauce is used for East Carolina pulled pork. It can be used as a marinade, or add a little corn starch and make it into a thick mop sauce or basting sauce.

Eastern North Carolina BBQ Sauce

I have tried a lot of recipes of Eastern North Carolina BBQ Sauce. This is the closest to what you will find in any of the BBQ Restaurants here in North Carolina. It is on the hot side, so you may wish to adjust the cayenne pepper and Tabasco™ sauce for milder flavor.

Piquant and spicy, this vinegar-based sauce popular in Eastern North Carolina is not for lightweights! It's great for all meats, but best on pork.

Grilled chicken never tasted as good as it will when you drown it in this wonderfully simple tangy sauce.

Firehouse BBQ Sauce

This recipe has been passed down by word of mouth in our fire station for years! It is fabulous and you can control how hot it is by how much red pepper you add. Please note that the longer it sits, the hotter it gets! Great on chicken, pork, and just about anything you can think of. Try it on a cracker with a slice of cheese!

Mustard Based BBQ Sauce

This is a great version of the traditional mustard based bbq sauce. Most sauces are ketchup based, but in the South we prefer the mustard variation. You oughta try it at least once.
