Cardamom Butter Cookies

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 3 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection® Ground Cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection® Saigon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon McCormick® Gourmet Collection® Ground Allspice

DIRECTIONS

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat well. Sift together remaining ingredients; stir into creamed mixture and mix well.
  2. Chill dough, roll and cut with cookie cutters. Or if you prefer, shape dough into a roll, chill and slice.
  3. Bake in a 350 degrees F oven 10 to 12 minutes, depending on thickness of cookies. Makes 7 dozen thin cookies.
