This recipe is delicious but definitely needs to be baked the whole hour if using drumsticks or bone-in chicken. Some of the suggestions for thicker sauce are good, but that will add to the cook time as well, depending on the amount of chicken. Overall, delicious!!

This is so good! I used chicken breast and a suggestion or two from the reviews and we ate it all up. Perfect quick and easy dinner!

The only thing I did differently was ½ cup honey and ½ cup ketchup and cut up the chicken breast into pieces. This was great. Thank you so much for the recipe.

i didnot pour sauce on top of chicken, but marinaded in salt, some chilli powder and soy sauce for an hour. then added the other ingredients. reduced honey to about 1/2 cup. baked for about 1 hr. it turned out really great. will try on chicken legs next time. I am thinking of adding some tamarind chutney next time for some tangy flavour, or maybe increase the ketchup as other readers suggested. thanks for the recipe.

Very easy and tasty. Flipped chicken halfway through baking. Next time will try the thicker sauce method suggested by other reviewers by cooking sauce on stovetop first.

Outstanding! Followed the directions exactly except I used 1/3 c. Soy and 3/4 c. honey (it was all I had left of each) flavors were fantastic. I also poured the sauce out when I pulled the chicken and put it in a saucepan on med-high to thicken before service and it worked a treat. Will definately do this for the family again, got raves and kudos for it. Thanks.

Pretty good recipe, although I think an hour is a bit too long. I had very thick boneless chicken breasts and was thinking I would probably have to cook them longer, but after an hour they were a little bit tough, still had great flavor, just wish the chicken had been more tender, I topped each breast with a slice of carambola for a little character =) very cute Thanks for the recipe I will use it again just cut down on cooking time

This was very yummy and my family loved it! I used skinless chicken breast and 1/4 c. soy sauce 1/2c. ketchup & 1 c. honey which I caramelized on the stove before I put it on the chicken to bake. My husband even suggested that next time he cook it out on the grill so we will be making this again soon!

Very good weekday dinner. Easy! I cooked the sauce on the stove and thickened it a bit with corn starch. I even added a teaspoon of fresh ginger...delicious! My husband, children and I each enjoyed it.

I couldn't go 1 cup of honey--too sweet just thinking about it! I used 3/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup ketchup, 1/2 cup lower salt soy sauce and 1 heaping T. minced garlic. I brushed the sauce on skinless, boneless chicken breasts. I baked them in the oven and finished them on the grill. I added 1 T. cornstarch and 2 T. cold water to the remaining sauce and cooked it in the microwave 2 minutes. Yummmy! I wish I had chicken wings rather than chicken breasts. Next time, definitely chicken wings!

Excellent! As others recommended, I cooked the sauce on the stove, added 2 Tbls cornstarch, boiled until thickened. Poured over boneless skinless breasts, covered and cooked about 35-40 min at 400. My husband loved it!

Four stars for the fact that the sauce did not carmalize. But the taste was there and was good. I too did my sauce on the stovetop for 10 minutes or so on med. I poured over boneless chicken breasts and baked for 35 minutes at 350. The chicken was so very moist. But it did not carmalize. I think I had too much sauce in my dish..maybe next time I will pour over to just cover and see if that does the trick.

I've got the sauce to carmelize. I made the sauce as directed, added 2tsp of cornflower (NO WATER) and heated on the stove top. Poured over chicken and covered to bake. Half way through I uncovered it and turned each piece of chicken over. Continued baking uncovered. Only thing I will do differently next time is be more liberal with the seasoning.

It was okay, but nothing spectacular. My husband thought it was, but he's like a human garbage disposal, so that doesn't say much. It just didn't impress me much.

This chicken was delicious. I scaled down the recipe to 2 servings and used 4 chicken legs. I followed the original recipe exactly and cooked for 1 hour, flipping over and basting the chicken every 15 minutes. I put it under the broiler the last few minutes. It caramelized beautifully on the chicken and we ended up with a nice thick sticky glaze. Served it over brown rice which soaked up the rest of the sauce nicely. Please take a look at the photo!

A very good basic starter for a "honey- garlic" type chicken dish. I let my chicken marinate in the sauce for an hour before baking. I added extra garlic powder for more favor, cut back a bit on the amount of soya sauce. All in all a good recipe, but have to agree with other reviews that the sauce didn't thicken up like I was expecting it to do.
