This caramel popcorn is great! I took the advice of several reviewers - warming the popcorn in the oven before mixing and cutting the butter in half. I'll definitely be making this again!

This recipe is pretty darn awesome. The only reason it wasn't perfect is because I messed it up! Remember everybody, oven temps and times vary. But it still tasted great and everyone ate it all. So no complaints. I'll try it again and keep my eye on it...

I have never made caramel popcorn before and thought it would be difficult but this recipe is simple. It tastes just like Kernels, or even better! I used two bags of microwave plain popcorn and it was just the right amount. I am going to make this all the time. Very addicting! Excellent recipe.

Delectable! Surprisingly easy and oh so delicious. We made the recipe exactly as written; made another batch with the addition of pecans; and yet another batch using the brown paper bag method of mixing the popcorn and caramel mixture together. The most difficult part of the recipe is following the last instruction, "Let cool completely..."

This is excellent popcorn! Definitely a keeper. I made some tonight with my 8 year old son, and needless to say, all of my kids enjoyed it. We used 2 bags of popcorn and I found that to be just enough to use for this recipe. I also did not add salt because I thought it would be overkill with the popcorn being salted already. Other than that, we followed the recipe exactly. 5 stars!

YUMMY! Be sure to work fast. Have everything set up before you begin so the caramel coating doesn't have a chance to cool when the time comes to coat it. Keep the popcorn warm in the oven before you poor the mixture onto it (drizzle was hard to achieve).

AMAZING!!! I used three bags of popcorn and followed the advice of others and doubled two brown paper bags to stir the popcorn in. Also, I made sure to keep the popcorn warm, in the oven, while the caramel was cooking. This seriously taste like gourmet popcorn; maybe even better!? Thank you so much for sharing the recipe!!

Awsome popcorn. The best I have ever had I made it into Cinnabon Clone Caramel Popcorn: Use the recipe as stated but with twice the popcorn and 1/2 the butter. Make the frosted coating: Melt 6 cubes of white bark in small non-stick sauce pan set on low. When melted stir in 2 tsp ground cinnamon. After popcorn is removed from the oven/cooled/and broken apart, place wax paper on counter with popcorn spread out in a single layer. Frost with melted bark using a wooden skewer or chop stick, dipping into pan and shaking over popcorn. let dry and enjoy

This has proven to be great no matter how I alter the instructions. This time I did not have baking soda or vanilla. I substituted the vanilla for about 1/8 cinnamon & about 1/16th each of ginger & cloves. It was great! I even burnt the caramel the first time I made it, and my husband didn't even notice!

I am famous after using this recipe among friends, and my kids always ask for it. My husband doesn't like popcorn, but he frequently has more than one bowl of this. I also use the microwaving it in doubled brown paper bags method.

Phenomenal. Always a huge hit! Probably one of the most complimented recipes I make. I tend to use a few more cups of popped popcorn, so it thins out the coating a little bit (and stretches it further, so there is more to eat). Also, I use a wooden spoon to mix. For cleanup-I just let everything soak in water and dissolve until a simple wipedown is all that's needed. No need to struggle and scrub.

I've made this several times now, a couple of times, very unsuccessful, grainy by end of baking. This weekend, I decided to give it one more try. I kept a close eye on baking time and only baked 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. It came out beautiful and delicious.
