I found this recipe at Christmas time, I made some up and took it to work and they went crazy over it. I gave it to a lady I work with, when she made it she put in a bag of Wal-Mart store brand dried cranberries, WOW!!!! this put a sweet taste to it. I bet I have made 10 more recipes of this since Christmas. 5*****!!!

I had some honey nut cheerios I needed to use up so I did an ingredient search and found this recipe. I really liked it! I did make some modifications to suit what I had on hand. I used 5 cups of cereal and 1 1/2 cups of peanuts, and made the sugar mixture as recommended. It would be great with the extra nuts and I will try it that way next time. I have a convection oven and 30 minutes was probably 5 minutes too long, my error. Thanks for sharing such a great recipe! It is going in the kids lunches tomorrow.

This recipe was a huge hit at our Super Bowl party. EVERYONE asked for the recipe. Then I made it again for snacks for a church group. Same thing, more recipe printouts! The only thing I did was change the peanuts to cashews. I also spread the mixture onto non-stick foil for it to cool. So easy!

I don't really see what is so special about this recipe. The Cheerios just tasted like Honey Nut flavor, and the nuts were just a little bit sweet. I guess I would like it with more of a 'POP!' in flavor. I will keep searching for that recipe.

This recipe is absolutely fabulous exactly as it is written. I made it several times over Christmas to take to various functions, and it was always a big hit. One note: With one of the batches, I was low on Cheerios (had about 2 cups) but I had plenty of Corn Chex left over, so I used 1/2 Cheerios, 1/2 Chex... and while it did work, it just didn't taste as good to us as the original. Thanks for such a great recipe!!

This is an excellent snack or gift for teacher, friends and family! To kick it up a notch, I used pop-corn instead of cheerios and any nut combination works. I used salted cashews and added a 1/2 tsp. of vanilla to the syrup at the end. Yum, Yum!!!! Everybody wants to recipe!!

This was OK, but I think I would have liked it better if the mixture had stayed in clumps ala caramel corn rather than separating...maybe it would work to increase the syrup/mix ratio?
