Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Beat the butter or margarine with the white and brown sugars until light and fluffy. Blend in the eggs, mixing well.
  3. Mix in the flour, baking soda and salt to the egg mixture. Reserve 1/2 cup of the chopped candy bars for the topping. Stir the remaining candy into the flour mixture. Spread the batter into one 13x9 inch baking pan. Sprinkle the reserved candy on top.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool in pan on a wire rack then cut into squares.

this was just great! my 10 year old daughter made this and had no problems. We used leftover halloween bars, all kinds

The cookie bars turned out great- I did how ever add vanilla. I used 3 Hershey's bars and 3 Heath bars. I will be sending these in school lunches!

Really really good after they have cooled compleatly. I thought they were a disaster though when I sampled them after they came out of the oven. Then I tasted them the next day just before I was about to throw them out, and they were awsome!

Nothing special, just tasted like a puffy cookie with a hint of some candy bar.
