Delicious! Very sweet. I halved this recipe and used a large can of yams to save time.

This is delicious! It has become a family tradition for Thanksgiving. Just don't let it heat too long or it goes runny! Great recipe.

This is exactly what I was looking for. This was my first time making candied sweet potatoes & they came out wonderful. I took the advice of others and reduced the butter to 1 cup. Will definetly make again. Thanks

If you like candied yams, you really must give this a try. I have my nephew and others begging me to bring these to Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas every year! Simple and super easy with a whole lot of yummy flavor. Enjoy!

Really delish dish! I reduced the butter and sugar as others suggested, and I'm so glad because there was a little circle of melted butter around each serving on our plates! Watch you don't overbake it, (like I did!) because that makes it feel greasy instead of decadent with butter. Still so tasty!

Since, I've become the primary holiday cook in my family, I've been trying and trying to find a sweet potato recipe that will satisfy everyone. I think I've finally found it. :) As others have suggested, I used less butter(instead of margarine) and sugar, and I also added ginger along with the other spices. This recipe is amazingly easy and tastes delicious. It's perfect for large holiday meals because the time and temperature it cooks at don't have to be exact. Thanks!

Very good and sweet, really more like candy than a vegetable. Reduce the butter by at least 1/4 c. though. I ended up with a layer of melted butter at the top of the casserole

This recipe was okay. I cut the butter in half and it was still WAY too much! Also I decreased the brown sugar and it was still too sweet. If I make again I will use 1/4 cup butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 2 cups marshmallows! Also, we like our potatoes a bit chunky, so I will cube them before boiling and then mix them with the sauce before putting into the oven, instead of mashing them. The overall flavor was GREAT but they were too oily and sweet to eat very much. But I'll give it another try with the above changes.

I used frozen sweet potatoes and followed the directions on the package to cook them. Then I followed the directions of this recipe to make them candied and took the advice from other reviews to add the marshmallows within the last 5-10 minutes or so and add cinnamon. This was very delicious and I would definitely make this again. Next time I will add a little water to the dish as the sweet potatoes turned out a little dry untily you mash them on your plate.

Made these for Thanksgiving dinner for European guests who have never had sweet potatoes prepared in this way. Was a bit sweet (and strange) to their taste. A bit too sweet for my taste as well. Good recipe, but will cut back on brown sugar next time.
