This one appropriately titled - emphasis on 'candied'. It was delicious but if you're looking for a regular sweet potato casserole, this is not it. I enjoyed it along with my cornbread stuffing but I had some complaints that it was too sweet. Also, the chunks were not as well-received as a thoroughly mashed mixture by my family.

I didn't change the recipe at all, just scaled it down to 4. Holy cow, it was the best!

These were delicious. I did cut back on the sugar per other reviewers and will cut back even more next time, they were just a little too sweet for me but other than that, perfect!!

I cut the recipe in half using 2 potatoes and peeled them before boiling. While the potatoes are boiling, you can get the pan of butter and sugar started. I used 1/3 brown sugar and 1/3 butter. Added 1/8 cinnamon, 1/8 vanilla and 1/4 nutmeg - nice touch. I used a cup of marshmallows. If you've halfed the recipe it is perfect for an 8x8 size glass pan. I had the oven on 350 for 15 minutes (why 400?)then put on the marshmallows -- only on one side! This way you can pick whether you like a marshmallow topping (I do) or have the side without the marshmallows on top (my husband). Oh! This sweet potato recipe by DJ seems to take the shortest amount of time to make.

This was very good, but a bit too sweet. (And I really like sweet!) I will definitely make again, but will add less sugar.

Great, sweet flavor. I didn't mash them or boil them as long because I like the potatos a little firmer.

I made these for Thanksgiving and it was one of the most talked about dishes. I used less sugar, butter, and marshmellows and everyone loved them! Thanks.
