Unless I did something wrong, this was probably the worst chicken I've ever cooked. I took others' suggestions and didn't bread the chicken first, but that didn't change the fact that the sauce was WAAAAY too watery and too sweet. I definitely won't be making this one again =(

This recipe is fantastic! I concur with the other posters who advise to cut the sugar in half. Still a nice sweet taste without it being overpowering! I also did this on pork chops EVERYONE raved!! This is a must try!

This was just ok. It didn't blow me away. I thought I'd be missing something if I didn't try it due to all the rave reviews. It just seemed like chicken baked in a sweet bbq sauce, nothing fancy.

I first saw this recipe in 2005, and I've been making it ever since. I've since started to use several variations, but I always go back to the original. Delicious, simple, and not very time consuming. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Okay... it only get s four stars 'cuz I followed some suggestions from members... I'll sum 'em up foryall again 'cuz I hadda go diggin' to find 'em... Base recipe is for CANDY like the title says... you want spicy sweet awesomeness with some sauce for your rice? Follow me. I only used about 2 lbs of chicken breasts, sliced thin. One cup of italian bread crumbs - (use less - there was still some waste.) Only about 3/4 to 1 cup brown sugar. Use spicy brown mustard. Used a packet of dried onion soup mix insteadda fresh grated. The other suggestions said use dry minced onion, but I didn't have any. Definitely go with dry onion either way... but I think the soup mix was yummers! Substitute water with the pineapple JUICE (careful ifya buy the stuff in syrup- it'll be candier) from the can plus a little h20. I also only had ginger soy sauce on hand. YUM! Finally... add cayenne pepper to taste. I put a little in the bread crumb mixture - and maybe about 2 tsp to the sauce. That was perfect for me for the spicy/sweet - 'cuz I like flavor, not pain. Add more if yerinta that kinda thing. I'm more of a guesstimator when it comes to adding ingredients to sauce - so I can't be sure I used the same amounts as listed in the recipe... but was pretty close. Why get a measuring cup dirty? Squirt the ketchup in! That's the joy of cooking sauce... do it to taste! Anyway... while browning the chicken it cooked most of the way since the breasts were thinner sliced, so only put it

Simply the best tasting dish on this site. The glaze is amazing, it almost resembles like a sweet honey ham glaze, but much better. In fact using the glaze on a ham might be a good combination!

These were above average, but not five star. I cooked them in the convection oven and it took more like 30 minutes.

My family really liked this, I was not as impressed. The combination of flavors in the sauce were good and it was a simple recipe to put together. I pounded the chicken breast (always do). They cook more evenly and it gives them a more delicate texture. It also cuts down the cooking time too. One hour in the oven would have been way too long. I had them in for about 30 minutes and they could have come out about 5 minutes sooner. I will make these again.

This one blew me away. What I expected to be your usual baked chicken (I am not a big chicken person) was absolute deliciousness. I halved the recipe, used thin chicken breasts, and baked it for 20 minutes. My fiance and I were very impressed with the flavor of this one and will definitely be making this again.

I breaded the chicken and browned them earlier in the day as well as putting together all the ingredients for the sauce. Then, when it was time to start cooking dinner, I pulled the chicken out of the fridge, boiled the sauce and dumped it over the chicken and threw it in the oven. What a great make-ahead recipe this turned out to be!! It was so good, nothing too overpowering and no leftovers! This will absolutely be put into the rotation.
