I didn't add salt or pepper, but I loved it! I half wanted to drink the brown sugar and butter mixture that the carrots were simmering in - but I restrained myself. Deliciously reminiscent of The Cracker Barrel's sweet baby carrots.

I am not a carrot eater, but wanted to make something that wasn't too carroty in flavor. This recipe was wonderful. We used tiny baby carrots that were packaged "microwavable carrots" in the produce section of our supermarket. They were smaller and thinner than normal baby carrots. They were the perfect size for our family, including our one year old.

I've been making this recipe for years. It is my favorite way to cook carrots. I take the lazy route though, and just use baby carrots.

My kids don't like carrots. When I made these, they ate the entire batch of carrots. They couldn't get enough!

I like my carrots really crisp, so I just boil them for about 8 minutes and then follow the rest of this recipe. It's great if you love healthy(ish) sweets!

These are the best carrots I have ever made. I took one of the other reviewers advice and added cyan pepper and they were perfect. Thanks.

Thank you for the recipe - easy and delicious. A nice change of pace for carrots. Note: I like to use white pepper in a recipe like this - it has a slighlty different taste than black pepper.

These are everyone's favorite carrots. My husband is particularly fond of them. Sometimes I add a splash of orange juice, just for a different flavor. Very good!

My family didn't like these at all, I also didn't care for them. Maybe I did something wrong but we ended up throwing them away. the only reason I rated them a 2 is because they were very easy to prepare.

So easy. I use 1 pound baby carrots instead of chopping up regualr carrots. They work perfectly and save time. Everyone in my family loves this easy recipe.

Good, but I'd slice the carrots into coins the next time. Also, I'd like to try and thicken the sauce a little too.

I've been making these carrots for years from a recipe in an Allrecipes cookbook I bought before I ever heard of the website. They are delicious made as written, but a bit of hot pepper flakes or a pinch of cinnamon doesn't hurt at all.

Delicious! I omitted the pepper as well, and I think that next time I will add less butter so the sugar can carmelize better. Definatly a keeper!

I cut back on the brown sugar and butter just a little and they turned out great! Not overly sweet but still yummy! I recommend them and so does my extremely picky husband.
