We just finished eating these, and the food coma is setting in! We found the dough to be a little sticky, so I'd add a little more flour next time. We changed the pepperoni for sausage and added some mushrooms. It was a hit! I'll definitely be using this recipe again.

I think it was overall good but I had to add almost an extra cup of flour to make it workable. I don't have a bread machine so I just mixed it together, needed it a little and let it rise 30 minutes.

I don't understand what went wrong here, but every time I tried to make the dough in the bread machine, it came out like soup. I tried it 3 times, sure that I must have mismeasured. I'm baffled, the proportions seem ok, I've used the bread machine successfully for other recipes, and there are so many positive reviews. I cannot figure out what went wrong! Anyways, I used a different pizza dough recipe and the resulting calzone was delicious, but as written, I could not get this to work out.

I was making this for just myself so I split the recipe in half. I also changed the sausage to artichoke hearts and sun dried tomatoes, but it was delicious! I've had trouble getting pizza dough recipes to come out right in the past, but this was easy and came out really great.

This is an excellent, easy dough recipe! I made a pesto, spinach and chicken stromboli and it came out so delicious! This recipe is a keeper! Thanks for posting it! :)

My husband loved this calzone! I didn't use the bread machine, I proofed the yeast and added the remaining ingredients. Then I kneaded the dough for 5 minutes and allowed it to rise in a warm place for 30 minutes before spreading it out and following the remaining directions. I also added ingredients to the filling that we like; garlic, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms and parmesan cheese. I used olive oil in place of the melted butter on top of the calzone. The dough was soft and chewy inside and had just enough crunch to the outside. This will recipe will be repeated in our home. Try it, I'm sure you will love it!

Very easy! I substituted dry milk for regular milk. Turned out a tad sticky, so I added a small amount flour during mixing. It turned out great, and the calzones were delicious!

This was really delicious! I didn't realize the dough would expand so much, so next time I'll use a bit more filling, and the crust was a bit sweet for me, so I'll use a little less sugar. I used a bread machine on the "dough" cycle and everything else was perfect.
