Ingredients

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 12 (2/3 ounce) spears California aged Gouda cheese
  • Watercress sprigs, for garnish

Directions

  1. In small saucepan over high heat, bring vinegar to simmer. Continue cooking until vinegar is reduced to 1/4 cup.
  2. Whisk in sugar; set aside to cool.
  3. For each serving, plate 3 spears cheese. Drizzle over 1/4 of the reduction. Garnish with watercress sprigs.
