I decorate cakes and have found that Betty Crocker has by far the best tasting cake mix on the market. It also makes the best tasting cake mix cookies. I use different flavored cake mixes and they all turn out great.

WOW! What an easy, delicious cookie! My son-in-law loves them! I used a Devil's Food Cake mix, White Choc. morsels, and I added the 2 tbls. of oil and 1 tsp. vanilla as the reviews recommended. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

I've been looking for the perfect boxed cake cookies, and I think I've found it! I used Devil's Food Cake (chocolate cake), and mint chips (Andes Creme de Menthe chips). If you're a mint person, you will LOVE the combo! The most easy and tasty cookie, I highly recommend!

I admit I was a bit skeptical before I made these cookies. That all changed after I tried one of these little bits of heaven. They are so chocolately (used B.C. chocolate fudge) and chewy with a brownie-like texture. You can't even tell these were semi-homemade and every bit as good as homemade. I can't wait to experiment with other flavors like butter cake mix with pecans.

I just finished baking these, and I am very impressed! I just so happen to have all the ingredients in my house and it's my cousin's bday tomorrow, so I decided to bake them for her and I'm so happy I did! I love how moist they turned out and I can't wait to make them again. One thing I learned was that if I dropped the dough by the spoonful in mounds, they pretty much stayed that way but if I flattened them a little, they get too flat and become very delicate. So, I'm guessing the way to go is somewhere in between to get the right size and shape of the cookie.

These are L-O-V-E-L-Y! I'd been craving some chocolate cookies for a few days but didn't want a complicated recipe. I stumbled on this one this morning, got a pack of Devil's food mix and hey, presto! They're gorgeous, easy and quick. However, I forgot to put the choc chips in - don't ask me how!!! I can only imagine how wonderful they'll be when I do them right! And the house smelled delicious too!

Nice and easy cookies.Great activity with the kids. I used mine as cookie sandwiches and followed the information of a previous review and used oil instead of butter. One thing I would say is to sift the cake mix as it is hard to get the lumps out. But other than that...will definatly make this again!!

I did not add any oil or vanilla, but made the recipe as written (except I had no chocolate chips) and my cookies still came out extremely moist and chewy and I cooked them for 10 minutes. I actually think I could've left them in the oven another minute or two.

I make these all the time for Christmas Cookie Exchanges. It's like a brownie-cookie. I like to underbake them just a little so they are a little gooey and soft. This is great for people like me who always keep a box of cake mix in the cupboard for a quick treat when money is tight. You can also substitute one stick margerine for the butter, to keep it on the cheap. When I made them today, I added a half of an 8 oz. bag of chocolate covered espresso beans. Turned out great, as always.

This is a recipe I will be using for a long time! I made 2 seperate batches, one was devils food cake mix with Andes mint baking chips and the second was chocolate fudge cake mix with shredded coconut. I did not add oil as others suggested and they were perfectly moist. The mint ones were divine! The coconut ones however left something to be desired. I will definitely be making these for get togethers and so on in the near future. I look forward to taking this basic recipe and changing it up many different ways! Thanks!

Awesome! Used this recipe a couple times when the kids feel like something sweet and we don't have any desert handy. Have used all different kinds of cake mix and "add-in's". Takes only minutes and they are delicious!

OMG! Such a tasty simple recipe and cheap, too! I used a devils food chocolate cake mix, and white chocolate chips, very tasty. I also added about a 1/4 cup of sour cream as it was hard to mix the batter, but once I did that it was easy to mix and put on baking sheets. Definitely a keeper recipe!

I love this recipe. You can use so many different kinds of cake mix and different variations of add ins to make this one yours. I always get compliments on the devils food and chocolate chips though. It only takes a few minutes to mix up a batch for suprise company. I always buy at least 10 boxes of cake mix when it's on sale for $1 so I always have it on hand.

Very easy and delicious with Betty Crocker Devil’s Food Mix. I found it tasted best with the following changes: chilled dough in freezer for 10min before use, greased the sheet before use, added 2 teaspoon of vegetable oil, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and 1cup of chopped walnuts. They were delicious I left them out on the cooling rack and they were practically gone within the hour.

Super easy and very good. I made two different batches: One with lemon cake mix, then rolled in powdered sugar. Then one with a Cinnamon Swirl cake mix and then rolled in cinnamon sugar, which ended up tasting very similar to a snickerdoodle - DELICIOUS! Thanks for a great base recipe!
