WOW. This cookie was extremely delicious! Instead of the chocolate cake mix and chocolate chips I used carrot cake mix with white chocolate chips and they were insanely good. I found that the batter was a bit thick and the chips didn't really adhere well to the batter nicely, so I added some vegetable oil and everything turned out fine. My first 2 batches were without the vegetable oil and my last batch and a half was with the oil, and they both turned out excellent. I also purchased sqeezable cream cheese frosting that comes in a whipped cream spray type bottle, so people can just put on frosting as they desired. The cookie tastes perfectly fine without the frosting, but either way is delicious. I ate about 6 of these cookies in one night and my dad ended up eating about 12! Needless to say, they didn't last very long and were so rich and delicious!

I was not a fan...I tried to use applesause as a healthy alternative instead of the oil/butter. The cookies stuck to my cooking stones and they never "hardened". They just stayed way too moist and sticky! I most likely will not make these again!

Nothing can beat cookies from scratch. But, when you don't have the time these are easy and great tasting! I used the milk chocolate cake mix and white chocolate chips and it turned out wonderful! perfect texture and taste!

I made a cookie tray for my son's graduation and these were a hit. I changed the original recipe and followed viewers suggestions and added 2 T Vege oil and 1 tsp vanilla. I also added Andes Mints instead of the semisweet chocoate chips.

yummy! these are really good, kind of any easy version of the chocolate crackles my mom makes. I did add the suggested 2 tbsp of canola oil and 1 tsp vanilla. I also tried both rolling them in powedered sugar and sifting p.sugar after they were done baking, both turned out great tasting.

Fabulous. I did a batch with Pillsbury Devil Food Cake mix and peanut butter chips. One of the best cookies I've had! The next week tried with a Betty Crocker Devil food cake mix, cookies came out flat and not as good. Go with the Pillsbury. I added 2TBSP oil and 1 tsp vanilla as others suggested. Really just a perfect little cookie.

Great recipe. I added 2 tablespoons of oil and 1 tablespoon water. I added the chocolate chips and marshmellows to one batch. The second batch I added walnuts. This is the easy way of making cookies in a hurry. Will do them again.

This is a good basic recipe - there are many variations. My grandson likes to make snikerdoodles with white or yellow cake mix and roll the balls in cinnamon & sugar. Because the cake mix is real sweet, I mix the cinnamon 50/50 with sugar.

These were GREAT! The batter is kind of difficult to mix at first. I would suggest mixing the eggs, butter, reviewer suggested 2T of oil and 1tsp butter together first so the dry ingredients get wet faster. Overall, it was incredible. Kids able to help, which was a plus for them.

I consider myself a pretty good cookie baker, and these totally flopped. Kind of embarrassing, since these are supposed to be a no-brainer to make. First time in a LONG time I threw the whole thing away.
