I have never liked the gooey sweetness of sweet potatoes served with marshmallows, so this spicy recipe piqued my interest. And it also satisfied. The potatoes were a nice combo of sweet and spicy, and the texture after 45 minutes was perfect. Thanks for this!

Tasty! I did need to add salt, but the season flavors were good and spicy. Directions were confusing, but since I already had them cubed I just changed the cooking time.

This recipe is awesome. I did not have brown sugar or onion powder, but it still came out great. I cut my sweet potatoes into thin fry shapes and tossed them in a bag with everything else. I did increase the red pepper, black pepper and salt too. I cooked them at 400 degrees on a cookie sheet for 15 minutes, stired them, another 15 minutes at 400 and then I broiled them for a few minutes to brown them slightly. After about 5 minutes of cooling time, my "non-sweet potato eating" family had already eaten a forth of them right from the cookie sheet. I served these with Mac and cheese (my families' favorite) and the sweet potatoes were gone before anyone even ate a bite of anything else!! I was informed by my 10 year old daughter that she wants me to make these for her friends at her birthday party! If that doesn't convince you to try this I do not know what will!

This was very good and a nice change of pace from the usual sweet potato recipe. I too was confused by the directions v.s. ingredients so I just sliced the potatoes in half lengthwise and baked them that way. Mother-in-law and I were the only ones who ate these but she liked it too. I think next time I might try brushing the potatoes with an infusion of olive oil and orange juice concentrate just for some extra flavor, and put the spices on top of that. The spices were nice and really good the next day. This is a keeper! Thanks!

Excellent. I don't normally like sweet potatoes, but I love Cajun cooking and wanted to try something a little new. They taste and look delicious.

If I could give this more than a 5 I would! We loved it! A great way to get in your sweet potatoes without the same boring casserole or just eating them with butter. I cut them into fry sized slices and baked them only 35 minutes. THANKS FOR THE AMAZING RECIPE!!!

These are soooo good!!!! Update: I have made these too many times to count now. My boyfriend always hated sweet potatoes but he always looks forward to these. I don't use the oil to save calories and fat. I use olive oil flavored spray. I also cut them into fries and don't bake them as long as the recipes says. Just check them and stir them once in awhile to see how you like them. The spice combination is out of this world. Thank You for the awesome recipe!

Sweet potatoes with a kick - yum. Mixed some of the dry spice mixture into f/f mayo and used as a dipping sauce. The whole family loved it. Thanks!

A+ My family loves these! I have a picky 4 year old who will even eat them! I cut them up into fries, usually I use three yams/sweet potatoes and double the recipe! Bake in pan 400 for an hour and they are perfect! THANKS SO MUCH YUMMY!

I cut these into "fries" and shook them up in a lidded bowl with the olive oil and the seasonings. I baked for about 30-35 minutes as directed and then turned on the broiler for the last 10-15 minutes of cooking to crisp them up. They were good.

This was pretty good. I don't know if I would make them again though. If I did I would have to tweak it a little more for my tastes. But overall it was pretty good.

Very good. I am trying to eat sweet potatoes instead of regular potatoes, and this is a nice variation so it doesnt get old.

Tried this last night and it was delicious. I cut the potatoes into wedges and baked them for 40 minutes in same oven with cola onion pork chops (also on this website). A quick and tasty dinner.

This was a very good alternative to baked potatoes. I served this with BBQ'ed steaks and my fiance loved it! He doesn't even like sweet potatoes. / Like the others I halved them and rubbed the seasoning on the top.

Now I know why my spicy sweet potato recipe was never published!!! My recipe is a little simpler. 2 Tablespoons of brown sugar to 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper tossed in a bag with olive oil and cubed sweet potatoes. Excellent variation to a recipe I thought I had created!
