The black pepper is a bit much for me...it overpowers the other flavors. Reduce it by at least half and this one fabulous recipe!!!

I am a pepper freak, so I didn't listen to the other reviews about reducing the amounts of pepper. Thought I could handle it -- and I was wrong!! I will make the dish again because it has the potential to be awesome with less pepper. The fresh herbs really make the dish. --To reheat, we added additional milk to tame down the pepper. Still hot, but reheated nicely.

This recipe is delicious, in fact my friends make me cook it for them all the time! However I'm a little cautious when it comes to seafood so I didn't use scallops. I replaced them with Bacon chunks. I also added courgettes to this recipe. I used tagliatelle instead of fettucine. I used dried herbs instead of fresh. And I used a combination of grated cheddar and grated red leicester instead of the swiss cheese and parmesan. Truly delicious, I'm making it again for my family tonight, and my housemates at uni love it - they say it gets better every time :) have fun with this one, it'll become a regular in any household :)

Very good and spicy as promised. I made an express version of this with precooked frozen shrimp and dried basil, thyme and parsley from the spice rack. I also added fresh garlic. It was so easy to whip up and very yummy too! I will make this again.

This was awesome! I changed my serving to 4 and I also made some changes. For one, I sauteed the shrimp seperately in garlic, butter, and cajun seasoning, I also used calamari. I added them into the sauce at the very end. I used all of the seasonings, expect I also added 1/2 a cup of milk to the whipping cream. I definitely recommend this recipe, it's easy and delicious!

This was a very good dish, and was a hit with the company we had. Based on reviews I read, and not wanting too dry a dish, I added 1 cup of whole milk with a little corn starch. For my own twist, I added 1/4 cup of Sauvignon Blanc minutes before serving. Using the full compliment of white and black peppers, I eased off of the red pepper by 1/2 and found that the dish was still very well balanced and with enough zing to make it very interesting. I found that this dish comes together quickly and is easy to prepare.

Oh...Ma...Gawd! This is sooooo good. I didn't put in the white pepper cause I've never even heard of it and only put in one teaspoon of the red pepper flakes. I did put all the black pepper in though. I added the whole 500ml of whipping cream stuff and maybe another half cup of milk cause I started to panic i wouldn't have enough sauce, which I did. I'll totally make this when I want to show off to people.

i must admit that i forgot to bring the recipe on my trip and had to guess and adjust ingredient amounts to taste--but what a dish! made it for a group of friends at the beach and it was such a hit! to make the sauce go further for less money, i also added some shredded imitation crab meat which made the sauce nice and chunky! i will make again and again--thank you!

I used crab instead of scallops. It was AMAZING! The crab really thickened it up and it was perfect. Really rich but really, really delicious.

Really super increadibly good. And EASY! because of the kids, I used only a fraction of the peppers. My husband and I just added to our own taste (medium for me, molten lava for him!) that way everyone could enjoy.

Wonderful! However, I would use less red pepper flakes. I love spice, but this was a little too much for both me and my husband.

This was awesome. I made the changes recommended by Luvs2cook4u. One warning, however. We had white wine with this dish and ended up drinking way too much! This is a spicy one and the wine just was perfect, as was the conversation!

Didn't care for the flavour of the sauce, I probably shouldn't have added as many peppers though.

This was really good. I made a few changes, since we are dieting. I used fat free half and half, dried Thyme, low fat parmesan, lower fat mozzerella instead of swiss, and whole wheat pasta. I cut down on the pepper and salt (as parmesan cheese is very salty, I felt the amount listed was way too much). I just did pepper(s) and salt to taste right at the end. My husband liked it a lot.

This was a fabulous recipe. I changed it up just a little - used chicken instead of scallops, added some fresh mushrooms and broccoli....oh yes, and used mozza instead of swiss. Could have used just a touch more moisture - I think one of the other reviewer's suggestion of adding a cup of milk together with a bit of cornstarch would make it that much better. But either way, excellent recipe. Oh yes, one other thing - not as good leftover so if you don't need such a big amount, I'd half the recipe.
