"This is a mildly spicy, flavorful gravy you can pour over chicken, turkey or just plain mashed potatoes. It is very similar to a certain fast food chain's Cajun gravy."

2 (4.5 ounce) cans
chopped green chilies
1 1/2 teaspoons
chicken bouillon granules
1 1/2 cups
warm water, divided
ground cayenne pepper, or to taste
I made this gravy for my spice loving husband. It was ok and something very different from the gravy we're used to having. But he did say if he had the choice, he would choose brown gravy or milk gravy over this.
It was pretty good. I was hoping for more of a chicken flavor than chili.
this was good. i did add some meat once we added bitts of ham and once we did chicken gizzards. also my family likes the little chunks of green chillis so i left half of one can that we didnt puree
I added some chopped shrimp and crawfish cooked with Cajun seasoning. It countered what I felt was an overpowering green Chile flavor. It turned out absolutely amazing over mashed potatoes. Wonderful recipe!
