This is delicious! I used anchovy paste instead of anchovies and bottled minced garlic. It turned out perfect!

Really great! I made it yesterday and I may make it again tonight! Everyone loved this salad. I agree with another reviewer....I will never, ever buy bottled caesar dressing again! I didn't use anchovies(because I didn't have any) but it was still excellent. I also used plain old Kraft canned parmesan but next time will use a chunk of good parm. (I usually keep some in the freezer and just grate it in the magic bullet, but happened to be out of it) Thank you for this recipe!

I make this recipe all the time and get sooo many rave reviews and requests for me to bring it to events. The best part is that you can just throw everything in a blender or the "Magic Bullet" and it is so quick and easy! A couple of notes: I never use anchovies, if anything just a tiny bit of the paste and it always turns out awesome. One suggestion-wholegrain Dijon mustard gives a nice texture to the dressing. However, you don't need to change a thing-this recipe is great the way it is. PS-Homemade croutons MAKE any salad-here is a quick and easy way to make them if you don't want to mess with a fying pan: I freeze leftover hot dog/hamburger rolls, then thaw & cut them into cubes, throw them on a cookie sheet and coat them with melted butter, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, etc and bake them in the oven until golden and mmmmm-the perfect finishing touch!

Everyone loved it - added maybe a tablespoon of milk to loosen it up a bit. The croutons are weird and unnecessary. Next time, I would use the Garlic Crouton recipe on this site.

this was perfect---i have never made caesar dressing before and my husband was really craving a classic caesar salad. i made this for him and he said it was the best he's ever had. (i thought it was delish too!). it was surprisingly simple to make--i substituted anchovy paste for the minced anchovy but otherwise stuck to the recipe. i cut the recipe down to make for two people but wish i had made more to keep in the fridge! i didnt even use a blender/food processor--i simply whisked it (heavily) with a fork--worked very well. thanks!

I moved to Australia 7 years ago and they have a totally different Ceasar dressing here, it's horrible, and I longed for my classic ceasar salad. You wouldn't believe how happy I was to find this recipe :) I only changed the amount of garlic by half and the olive oil by half and just out of personal preference, but everything else was left the same and this recipe is AMAZING!! Thank you so much! It's my favorite caesar dressing recipe and I no longer have to pine away about missing my caesar dressing from Canada. Thank you!

I skipped the anchovy only because I completely forgot at the store... but the dressing is out of this world.. I used a fresh block of parmesan, I didn't measure the amount of parmesan, but I used way more then it said to.. (seriously can there ever be enough parm cheese in anything?!), (not a green can) I also added more lemon juice and thinned it out with olive oil, then it still seemed to thick, so I added a bit of milk. will N-E-V-E-R buy caesar salad dressing again.

Perfect recipe, as is! Anchovy fillets are the only way to go...Just doesn't quite work with the paste. A blender is not needed. If you follow the recipe, you can mix by hand...no problem. We served blackened chicken over the salad...Made a nice quick meal!

Love this dressing! I make many homemade dressings and my husband and son say this is the best I have made. When you live on the border and can shop in Canada dry mustard is a great ingredient to add to this. Have already made twice this week. Beats my mothers that she raves about!

Love this! Caesar salad is always a favorite, and the "mayo shortcut" gives this 5 stars for both taste AND ease of preparation. Made this "as written." Just went an extra 1/2 T. on the lemon for that extra "bite" (which MAKES Caesar salad for me...) Wouldn't change a thing. Wonderful with so many things or as a stand-alone. Thanks so much for this recipe!

This was fantastic!! I also used a blender for mixing, gave the dressing a nice consistency. Croutons were terrific, I never thought I could make my own and they were so easy and tasted wonderful.

This recipe is wonderful. I can make the dressing and croutons ahead of time, and just throw everything together. It makes a perfect dinner when you add some grilled chicken to it. Like others I leave the anchovy out of the dressing.
