I decided to be creative today, so I addded two packs of Lipton's spanish rice, this gives the dish a nice spice. Thanks for the recipe!

We loved this and so did the kids- I will have to one and a half the recipe next time. I used marinara sauce that was spicy which gave it pizzaz plus a bit of tomato paste. I used turkey and chicken instead of beef. I baked in the oven for the amount of time noted and it was really yum! thank you.

Yummy! I used only 1 lb of ground beef, one can of tomato sauce, one can of diced green chiles, one can of tomato soup, and one can of beef broth. I also added more onions and garlic. Added the rice to the meat at the very end of cooking and baked the whole thing for 1 hour, 45 minutes. Perfect!

This is the best Casserole. I won't ever go back to the old style again. This is perfect. The only thing that I changed was that I was really short on time and I boiled the cabbage and it cooked for an hour instead of 1 1/2 hrs. Very good and everyone raved and I got asked to make it again for another covered dish get together for Christmas.

any recipe that has to be changed so much to make it work doesn't deserve a good rating. It needs to be scaled down to fit in a pan this size, and spiced up!

Very good recipe.I substituted half the ground beef with sweet Italian sausage, and one can of beef broth with a can of diced tomatoes and 3 tsp. chopped garlic and baked covered for 2 hours. Turned out excellent. would definitely make again.

I will use less cabbage and more meat next time. Perhaps add some stewed or diced tomatoes as well. Very good, but needs a little extra.

How could I not make it a 5 star? I make it, freeze it and that gives me a few days of stress free lunches. Any meal that I can stretch for a few days is a meal on my favorite list! Now I did add some spices garlic, italian...either way it all comes out great!

it really makes it easy for the same taste of stuff cabbage that takes work and time. My whole family loved it. I know this because they wanted it again. Cooking it right now again

This is a good recipe & it makes a lot. The first time I made this dish I didnt like the beef flavor from the beef stock. The 2nd time I used more tomato sauce, 1/2 the beef stock, & topped off w/a lil catsup.

This was a very difficult recipe to work with. While the flavor was okay, the dish was difficult to make. 3 pounds of cabbage "in wedges" was just too much. Hard to "stir" after the first hour. Was really just a mess. Needed cabbage in smaller pieces - that would help keep the mass down a lot and easier for eating. Needs a bit of work - not recommended - by the time you get all the ingredients in this, its cost you over 10 dollars - not worth it.

This is such an easy recipe and the taste is so comforting on a cold day! I used 2 cans of tomato soup in place of the tomato sauce and omitted the onions and it was still delicious! The beef broth really gives it a nice flavour...I've made a similar recipe before with no broth, but it really makes the recipe that much better.

I loved this recipe. My great grandmother made her cabbage rolls almost the same way. I add a bit more salt, a minced garlic clove, and 1 cup of tomato juice to make it more soupy to dip rolls in. I am so glad I can get the same great taste without all the work of wrapping the rolls.

Yummy! We love cabbage rolls, but who has the time. This recipe is so quick, easy, and satisfying. I added a can of diced tomatoes with their juice, and used basmati rice. So good!

Excellent. Take DiscoBunny's advice in the review section, though. Add lots of spices, and mix the broth and tomato (I used 2 cans tomato soup) in with the meat and onions. As suggested, I also mixed in the rice with the meat mixture and let it sit 15 min (would do 20-25 next time). I used 1 medium sized cabbage. It took about 1 hr and 15 covered in a 9 x 13 pan, and another 15 uncovered. Was a smash hit.
