I made this for supper using two cans of stewed tomatoes and no rice. I gave my 7 year old granddaughter a taste of the broth, and I've caught her twice trying sneak another taste while we wait for Pawpaw to be ready to eat. I did it all on the stove top, and we're having cornbread with it.

This tastes just like my grandma's recipe, without all the work of rolling the cabbage. It is very easy, and very hearty. I will make this over and over.

I've made this twice, in a electric pot. The second time I used ground sausage and it is good both ways.

This was fabulous and sooooo easy. I thought it had a good deal of flavor though I did add garlic thyme and ginger. I loved it and the kids ate their fair share. This will definatly be put on the family menu. So much easier than cabage rolls but still the same taste and presentation. I made it just as the recipe stated except used brown rice (just a preference) and cooked at 375 for an hour just to quicken things up. Fab dish!

Just like cabbage rolls without all the work!I cut the recipe half but kept the amount of tomato sauce about the same (I used maybe 20-22 oz.)Also, I gave the rice a head start by bring a cup of beef broth to a boil and then adding the rice. Removed it from the heat. After sauteing the onion (I put some chopped garlic in as well,3 cloves) and browning the beef, I combined everything in a 9x13 in. pan. Covered and baked for 1 hour. We ate this 2 days in a row. Excellent recipe. Thanks!

This was very good. I made it with Turkey though and needed to beef the seasonings up a bit more to make up for the bland meat. I doubled the sauce too!

I also make this in my crock pot so I come home to to the fabulous taste of Cabbage Rolls with minimal work! I add an additional can of tomato sauce, use 1 can of chix broth and 1 can beef and also add a splash of white wine (the taste is amazing and of course the alcohol cooks off). And of course I add garlic to everything! A fabulously easy meal!

Tasty, easy, and feeds several. I added 1/4 lb of ground pork (reduce beef) for a little more kick. Next time I will use a spicy/medium hot pork. Easier than wrapping up the mixture into cabbage, but same great taste.

LOVED this!! I used brown rice (it takes more liquid than white) but other than that left the recipe alone. Wonderful comfort food, and so easy to make, this will be making regular appearances at our table.

Yummy. I made it a little healthier by using half ground round & half ground turkey, and brown rice instead of white. I added pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce (while the meat cooked) and a dash of hot sauce. Next time I make it - and there will be a next time - I'll add some seasonings like basil, bay leaf, etc. I was surprised, but I needed to add more liquid when I stirred it. I served it with mashed potatoes, which I think were the perfect side. My husband and I really liked this dish.

This is an easy recipe, but if I make it again I will use pasta sauce in place of tomato sauce. There was no flavor so I added some basil, oregano, pepper & salt. Also have an extra can or two of broth and stir every 20 mins. as it will start to get drier and the rice may not fully cook.

Delicious!!! I have made this probably 10 or more times over the past few years and we truly love it. I do add garlic and extra salt and pepper. Some red bell peppers also add some good flavor. This recipe is a keeper!!

overall this was a very easy recipe. I would have to agree with some reviews that it is very bland. I added some garlic and italian seasoning but it was still missing something. maybe next time I will try spaghetti sauce inplace of the tomato sauce.

I had a couple issues with this recipe. First of all, it makes so much more than one can possibly fit into a 9X13 pan. Secondly, I noticed that the recipe didn't call for any seasonings other than salt. I added a hefty dose of italian seasoning, garlic salt, and onion powder. The end result was still completely bland. I let it sit in the fridge overnight, and yes, it did taste better the second day, but still very bland. I adore cabbage, especially cabbage rolls, but this was not at all what I was hoping for. Thanks anyway.

This was great. My boyfriend grew up eating lebanese food that his grandmother made. I had never made cabbage rolls so this was a great way for me to make something he loved. He actually said it made him think of his grandmother! Followed the recipe except adding some extra seasoning to taste. Will no doubt be making this again!

I believe that even my Hungarian grandma would happy to eat this. It was easy to make and everyone had second helpings at my first attempt to make it. I added about 1T each of sugar, lemon juice, and vinegar to the sauce. I also used meatloaf mix (beef, pork, veal) instead of just ground beef. This would be great for church potluck dinner!

This has a very good taste however i'd like to see someone put this in a 9x13 dish. Its enough for 2 and then some. One other thing, partially or completely cook this on top of the stove, it takes forever in the oven
