5 stars with a few additions. I agree that the original recipes needs just a bit of tweeking, but an excellent base. I chuckled when I read the negative review about all the pans, etc. I too try to make things easier, and I have an aversion to boiling any veggie as it robs all the goodness. So, I sauteed a chopped onion, two cloves garlic, some green & red pepper I had in the fridge until soft in a little EVOO. Then added the cabbage. Covered it, stirring freqently until soft. I added S&P, thyme, marjoram (or whatever spice you like). Then added the can of soup, the cheese (I used shredded sharp cheddar and less than called for). Stirred till melted and encorporated. Transferred to a dish, sprinkled seasoned bread crumbs over, and a reserved bit of cheddar. Used NO butter, just a bit of oil. Wonderful!!!

Added 1 jalapeno and sauteed it with the onions which added a nice falvor (and some kick) to it.

This was just so-so for my family. Had a sort of "processed food" taste to it. Not that I am against using canned soup and process cheese, it just seemed to stand out in this recipe for some reason. There are other cabbage casseroles I have tried that I like much better, so I don't think that I will be making this again.

I cut up sausage and cooked it first. Then added it to all the other ingredients (without cooking)into a casserole dish. I added shredded pepper Jack cheese (can use Swiss.) Wonderful dish and sooooo easy

what a lovely way to eat cabbage. We really enjoyed. I used spring onions (Scallions) just coz its what i had.and used crushed buttery crackers (ritz biscuits) for the topping. Even my picky 3 year old managed to eat some. Great with bacon added in to.

We really enjoy this dish -- kids too. Yes, it's a little more complicated than our usual veg side dish, but worth it. We like to top it with French fried onions instead of crumbs.

This is a great recipe. It is simple and easy to remember. But not only that, I had received many compliments and people ask me how I made it. When they find out how to make it they will bring share it with others at potluck. My sister-in-law made a variation of it but it was not as good as doing it like the recipe says.

This was really good, but it did remind me of green bean casserole, except it was cabbage. Would make again though.

Really tasty. I love cabbage anything so this was a nice change. I'll have to watch that I drain it better next time(a little runny). Also in all my years of cooking I have never bought velveeta and now I have a 1/2 a package leftover and not sure what to do with it!! I'm sure allrecipes will show me something!! I served this with beef dips(from this site as well).

Not worth the trouble. I used 3 pans,1 lid, 1 large colander,2 spoons, 1 knife, cutting board, 1 food processor with 4 parts, 1 measuring cup, 1 spatula, 1 large baking dish. Took an hour to wash those and the dish was nothing special. I've had better TV dinners in 5 minutes with no kitchen full of dirty utensils.

Yummo! I substituted low fat soup and low fat velveeta and also used spray oil instead of butter for the onions and it still turned out awesome!

This was REALLY delicious! I used a 12 oz sack of cole slaw mix....Just to make it even easier ...and I used 'Smart Balance' rather than butter and low fat cheese...Also I used Italian Style Panko bread crumbs and used about a cup instead of a 1/4... Thanks for such a yummy recipe! The whole family loved it!! Including my VERY picky 16 month old! :)
