Original Recipe Yield 1 cup
 

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a saucepan combine the butter or margarine, evaporated milk, white sugar, and the vanilla extract. Bring to a boil over medium high heat and continue to cook for 5 minutes. Pour over your choice of cake while syrup is still warm.
