I just made this to go on top of bread pudding for tonight's dessert and dinner can't come soon enough! I only boiled this for 2 minutes because I was afraid of the sauce solidifying like another reviewer mentioned. It smells and tastes delicious!

I made with dark brown sugar & unsalted butter. Would have been better with light brown, and salted butter. Did recipe exactly as written. It had a burnt sugar taste which is nice, but not exactly butterscotch. Was very thin still while warm, but gets quite thick when cold or over ice cream.

This was amazing! It was so simple to make to. I had some heavy whipping cream in the fridge that needed to get used, and came across this recipe. I have tried other butterscotch recipes that tasted more like caramel or just had an off taste. This was perfect in taste and pouring consistency (nice and gooey). It looked just like the picture. I used a large flat rubber spatula and stirred it from the beginning on 5 as directed. And, I counted the 3 minutes as soon as it started a slow boil in the center in hopes that it would help with the brown sugar melting and not being grainy. I then removed from the heat and stirred 1-2 more minutes, to cool slightly, before pouring into another container to cool. Great dessert topping recipe. Thanks!

Very good but try adding just 1/2 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract for a flavor boost.

Quick to make with nice rich flavor. I did not boil for the full 3 minutes as I wanted a softer product.

This was simple to make and the perfect consistency. The flavor is great. I used it in the Oatmeal Carmelitas on this web site (instead of store bought caramel topping) and it was delicious.
