Sweet, rich and creamy, this is a custard pie that no one will guess is made with buttermilk! It 's wonderful as is, but downright sinful when adorned with a spoonful of molasses.

Buttermilk, sugar, eggs, baking mix, butter and vanilla are beaten together until smooth, poured into a 9-inch pie pan, and baked. It makes a lovely nest for fresh fruit and a dollop of freshly whipped cream.

Buttermilk is clearly magical with this simple recipe that yields great results. It makes this lovely custard pie ambrosial. Top it with whipped cream and shaved chocolate.

Sweet and very buttery, this pie quickly mixes up in one bowl and bakes up into a buttermilk custard pie that brings raves. It cuts beautifully and tastes wonderful with fresh whipped cream and a sprinkling of blueberries.

A simple formula of one accounts for everything in this delicious pie. There 's one egg, one cup of raisins, one cup of buttermilk, one cup of sugar and one pinch of salt. Stir together, pour into a pie shell, cover with a second crust, and bake. It 's one heck of a pie.

Warm apple slices are sugared and coated with cinnamon, and arranged in the bottom of a pastry crust. A thick buttermilk custard is poured on top, and then the pie is baked for 30 minutes. Then a buttery, sweet streusel topping is added, and the pie is slipped into the oven to finish baking.
