Original Recipe Yield 1 - 9 inch pie
 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth. mix in the flour, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Pour filling into pie shell. Sprinkle top with nutmeg.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until golden brown.
