Pork chops are crusted in pecans and breadcrumbs, then topped with a delicious homemade pumpkin butter. This is one of my favorite ways to eat pork.

Here's a simple recipe for pork steaks or chops. All you do is baste the meat with a sauce that consists of butter, lemon juice and garlic. Very basic, and the chops will be moist and tasty.

I don't have a clue where my Dad got this particular recipe, but he used to build it during hunting season when we had fresh venison (elk, antelope, mule or whitetail deer), 'hanging and aging'. I still make it when the opportunity presents itself.

Translation of the name: 'Wiener' this word comes from the word 'Wien', which is the Austrian city called Vienna. 'Schnitzel' means basically meat in a crust. I'm German and hope you can understand my English description. 

Butter Bean Soup

Butter beans and ham are simmered with potato and onion in this creamy soup. I was having a difficult time finding a recipe for my favorite bean - the butter bean- so I did some experimenting of my own and came up with this quick, delicious recipe using many ingredients I normally have available in my kitchen!
