Pulsed the meat ( I used turkey meat) in the food processor to make it fine. It was so delicious. Everyone at it!

my family loved this and it was super easy to make. I made this in a cake pan and it fit perfectly. I substituted ground turkey and no one could tell the difference. this is a keeper!

This is really good! The only thing I did differently was to double the tortilla layers so it would be thicker. Very quick and easy.

Very yummy--read reviews and made it a little spicier. Thanks for sharing this!! PS Dawn G, a few of the reviews on here mentioned people had used corn tortillas so they probably come out fine.

This recipe is very kid friendly, kids can help assemble their own individual pie with the toppings they like. I used whole wheat tortillas and only used three for each pie. I made two small pies, and three larger ones using this recipe. One small pie was for a vegetarian, so just used sauce and a variety of beans (whole and veg refried) , tomatoes, onions and cheese. Made one kicking up the heat for my son and minus cheese and my husbands without beans ( allergic to them) and my daughters minus tomatoes and extra beans. Everyone enjoyed their pies! Much quicker to make than enchilladas and just as yummy! Thanks for sharing this recipe.

I was very happy that this turned out so well. The hubby and kids loved it. I didn't think I would but I did too. I used taco seasoning instead of chopping onions and garlic. Also, I didn't have taco sauce so I used a small can of tomato sauce. Everything else was pretty much the same. I did take the advice of others and used 3 tortillas for each layer and it made a huge difference. So, make sure you do too.

Really good recipe. I made the following (minor) modifications: I have a 4-year-old son and a boyfriend who eats a lot, so I definitely didn't cut the recipe as some suggested; the leftovers got eaten. I omitted the green chilis and used regular diced tomatos rather than the ones with chile peppers. I also used mild taco sauce and I'm sure if you prefer spicy then medium would be good. I also took the advice of another reviewer and used 2 tortillas per layer. This recipe is a keeper.
