I used all fresh ingredients and it made it a little watery but over all the taste was fantastic and there were no left overs!

Not my cup of tea. It tasted a little bland despite using taco seasoning and the tortillas made it too soggy. Will not make again. Usually I love the recipes from this website, but so far this was the worst I've tried.

Restaurant worthy with the addition of cumin and chili powder! I served it surrounded by lettuce and tomato with a dollop of sour cream on top and my husband LOVED it!

Very good. I followed suggested changes adding a packet of taco seasoning to meat and spreading the refried beans onto the burrito. I used a cup of cheese per layer for a total of 3 cups. Will definitely make again, thanks!

I love Mexican food, so this was a nice change. I had to make a few changes to the recipe, but overall it was good.

This was a very good dish. I did use the suggestions of some of the other reviews and use more tortillas in each layer to make it easier to serve. Also I used a taco seasoning packet in the meat also to give it a little more kick. It worked perfectly. It was simple to make, it is still great the next day reheated, and my son ate his entire plate which is very rare. So This is definetly an excellent dish.

Very good. Kids loved it. Next time I would add some salsa between the middle layer. Also on the advise of another I did use disposible pie pans. Excellent idea.

I liked the flavor but the tortillas got soggy and ended up with a strange texture. It was good, but I don't think flour tortillas are a good mix in a casserole. Next time, I'll crush chips or use corn torillas.

Very good! I cut the recipe in half, and like another reviewer suggested, I spreaf the beans on the tortillas. Easy and tasty!

A very good, simple recipe that even my Mexican in-laws loved! The only things I did differently were to use two deep dish disposable pie pans, one spicy for the adults and an extra mild for the kids and I spread the beans on the tortillas instead of mixing with the beef. It was a bit soggy on the bottom though; but still great!

I hate when people change the whole recipe... but I took others' advice and double-layered tortillas, used salsa instead of taco sauce and used taco seasoning to brown meat. Husband and kids loved it! It made a lot but leftovers heated well in microwave. Could cut in 1/2 and just use 8x8 pan perfectly. Also, kids don't like spicey and I accidentally used hot salsa and refried beans with jalapenos but I made the whole dish the night before for ease of use and it was not too hot and reheated well (not mushy) so a timesaver for me. Definitely in the rotation!

My daughter made this for myself and my husband for dinner one night and it was very good! I think the only thing she did different was to add the j. pepper to the hamburger when she was browning it. We both thought it tasted even better acouple of days later! Very good!!

here's my 2 cents & changes which is why i rated it 4 stars; i scaled the recipe for 8. the dish was moist, flavorful and not a bit dry. i used a package of jennie-o turkey breast which i seasoned with penzey's southwest seasoning. 1 can of refried black beans which i added a 4-oz can of herdez salsa verde and 1/2 jar of herdez salsa. lastly, i used a whole package of lo-fat mexican blend cheese.i also used an 8x8 glass dish that i layered as instructed. i topped with shredded lettuce & a dollop of sour cream. totally delish. espcially the next day.

I don't know why many reviewers changed this recipe so much. I made it exactly as instructed and it was delicious. I only substituted corn tortillas for the flour ones, and omitted black olives (we don't like them). I used lean versions of everything (97/3 ground beef, FF refried beans). Overall it is a good recipe - but plan to serve something light with it as a side - it is a bit heavy and filling.

Tasty! I only added 1 can of refried beans (totally forgot the other), omitted the olives (ick), and added taco seasoning (I used Taco Seasoning I from this site). Cheap, easy, and made a lot of food!
