I had read that a few people had separating issues, I only got this when I used the "bargain brand" cheese. I love this recipe. Some use crackers, we use golden tortilla chips. The nice thick ones. I make is stove top..Basically putting everything in a big pot until it is melted. I do let the canned chicken simmer alone long enough to remove some of the water and then I let it cook in the hot sauce before I add the cheese. But I do not do the layer in the oven thing because it takes longer and is tastes no different.

I wasn't thrilled with this dip. I think the theory behind it is good but my dip kept seperating on me. I would add more sour cream and cheese hoping it would cream it up for me..heat it and it was a seperated mess again..I was disappointed as I hail from upstate Ny and Buffalo chicken wings are a staple there!!

this recipe is amazing... I used 1/2 cup ranch dressing and 1/2 cup blue cheese... This is my husbands new favorite and he actually asked me to make it for him for a meal. He took left overs to work...I prefer Frito scoops with it, my husband likes tortilla chips and my daughter likes Chicken in a Biscuit crackers with it...I Will keep this recipe as a family favorite!

If I could give this more stars I would. Have made this twice in under a week for 2 functions and have not had any leftover. I basically kept the recipe the same but used low fat cream cheese and light blue cheese dressing and a rotisserie chicken almost the entire chicken... i just used my hands to shred it. Will use this many times over.

I really wanted to be impressed. I made it exactly to the instructions, with the exception of using blue cheese dressing. While it was eaten by a couple of people, there was still a bunch left over, and I wasn't impressed at all with the flavor and texture. It just seemed gummy and oily, and I used quality cheese too. I won't make this again- back to artichoke dip for me!

This was great, we fumbled with the recipe a little using blue cheese instead of ranch, and we used a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store instead of canned chicken and it was a huge hit. Next time I think we're going reduce the amount of cream cheese a little so it's a meatier dip and it definitely needs to be kept warm, right out of the crock pit is a good idea! - although it didn't last very long for it to cool much.

A friend gave me this recipe a couple years ago and it is always a huge hit at parties! It is so easy and I have never had left overs! I have used the canned chicken, which is great for last minute guests, and I have used boneless, skinless chicken breasts. I usually just boil the chicken and shred it. I'm always tempted to use blue cheese, but almost hate to mess with something everyone loves! Maybe next time. I serve it with tortilla chips and right out of the crock pot. Great recipe!

Excellent Dip! People wanted to lick the bowl, there was no dip left. I did make modifications, I used real chicken and Blue Cheese dressing. But you gave me the idea to make it, I would never have thought of it. Thanks.

I love this dip at every party I taste it but have never gotten the recipe. I looked it up on here just yesterday and made it exactly as directed. OMG!!! It was waaaay better than any I've ever tried. Not sure what the difference is in the others I've tasted, but I'll never look for another. This is fantastic!!! There is a down side, though. We barely had any to bring home after the football party we went to :(

This is an amazing recipe! I make it every time we have a pot luck at work. It works great to just throw everything in a crock pot on low for a few hours instead of cooking it.

Everybody wants the recipe and no matter how much I make it is not enough. I think the few people having problems with recipe are using cheap or low fat cheese that gets nasty when it melts

Instant hit!!! I made this for a football party and everyone loved it. Instead of chicken crackers I served it with Frito Scoops (celery sticks were not allowed at the party). I also used the baking method. This did make a lot of dip, so for a smaller crowd I'll cut it in half. This is a keeper!!!!

Absolutely perfect amount of heat! I used 3 poached, shredded chicken breasts, freshly grated cheddar cheese, Franks Buffalo Wings Sauce and blue cheese. It makes a large batch. So good!

I gave this recipe 4 stars only because of the canned chicken. Everything about meat in a can does not sit well. :( I boiled 2 pounds of chicken breast (cut into strips to boil) I only used 1/2 cup fat free ranch (may use a little less next time), fat free cream cheese (with the other ingredients you can't tell the difference) and almost a whole cup of Texas Pete Chicken Wing Barbecue sauce. I do bake it for 20 in the oven and then transger to a crock pot on warm for serving. I served with tortilla chips and celery. What a tasty treat at my football parties! Heats up well the next day the next day too! THANK YOU for the recipe!! So much better and easier than wings!!
