Very good, but I like to add a cup of pulverized graham crackers for texture.

This was the first time I've made these and they are amazing if you love peanut butter! Very rich, but so good. I did find it to be a little dry so I added about 1/2 cup more PB and a dash more of vanilla, turned out perfect.

I used natural crunchy peanut butter and added graham cracker crumbs to the middles to add texture. Otherwise I think these would have been too rich or too sweet, but these turned out fine! I also didn't bother using a double boiler, I just stuck the chocolate in the microwave with margarine for a few seconds.

The taste was very good. I followed the recipe almost exactly and had no issues with it being crumbly. The only thing I had to do extra was melt another 3oz of chips and 1 tbsp of shortening. I didn't have enough for dipping. Since this recipe was better than the other recipe I had for Buckeyes, I'll continue to use this one. Thank you!

I only wound up using 3 cups of powdered sugar because the dough was just starting to crumble and not hold together, plus I thought it was by far sweet enough. I use milk chocolate instead of chocolate chips (personal preference), and the toothpick method is really easy. These may be the easiest candy to make. I'll definitely do this again, but with some modification to the amount of sugar. Thanks!

These aren't quite as good as my aunt's recipe. The mixture was rather stiff/crumbly to work with which made them difficult to roll into balls. There wasn't enough chocolate to cover them all - I got about 40 balls. I also did not like the toothpick method. Overall good but needs some perfection.

These are sooooo good! The PB center is just the right consistency and none of those "weird" ingredients like graham crackers! I followed other reviewers advice and reduced the 10X sugar to 3 C. I also increased PB to 1 C and will probably add still more next time. These were a little time consuming and my presentation isn't the best, but I'm sure both will improve as I continue to experiment w/this recipe. I melted my choc chips in the microwave (45 sec, stir, 30 sec). The first time I used 1/2 bag of milk choc chips w/the shortening. Next time, just the chips. Finally, semi sweet mini chips (yes, all 3 "batches" of choc covering for 1 batch of balls....about 1 1/4 bags of chips and I used it all). This made about 86 smallish balls for me. Thanks for a great recipe! I made the balls and then placed in freezer for 30 min, consistency was fine for dipping.

These are very good but a little goes a long way. I think I forgot the butter and they were still good. I bet they are even better when the recipe is followed. Make sure to make them small. I thought mine were small but they ended up being two bites each.

Such a good recipe, it reminded me of the ones my Great Grandmother used to make! I even yielded 45 buckeye balls with this recipe.

Following advice of other reviewers I added 1/2 cup of peanut butter. I also added a few Christmas colored sprinkles on top after I dipped the balls in chocolate (I used milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet). These were really easy and pretty tasty.

my family loves peanut butter and chocolate and this recipe didn't let them down. My son calls them peanut butter truffles. I had to add more margarine to the chocolate chips to get a smooth chocolate to roll the dough in but it could've been my chocolate chips.

Excellent and so easy to make! I tripled this recipe to make enough for all my holiday trays and it worked out beautifully. I did have to make a bit extra chocolate to dip them in but still worked out fine. Thanks so much for this excellent recipe!!

Love this recipe - super easy to make and they look and taste great. One suggestion is that if you have a fondue pot - it works wonders for melting and dipping!!!
