Very good. Definitely a dry crumb mixture, but roll it in your hands long enough and it will stick together. I used double the chocolate chips and added parrafin wax (1/4 block) to help it go a little farther. I covered the entire ball with chocolate. Great!

This recipe came out perfect. The only thing I changed was that I did put about a 1/4 cup more of peanut butter and I also doubled the chocolate. Make sure you sift the powdered sugar.

Very good! Everyone has loved this one. Rolling the PB balls took awhile, so turn some good music on while you work. I came out with 43 buckeye balls myself, a little more than I needed. Also, I "cheated" and used the microwave to melt the chocolate so I needed less shortening. However, as a holiday gift or treat this one is a keeper. Thanks!!

These are always delicious! I made these for several tailgates this year, and though the chocolate melted in the southern heat, they were still gone by gametime!

love love love. I knew I would like these because I'm a peanut butter freak! lol. They were very sweet. Will use only 3 cups of sugar next time. I always thought sifted meant to not pack it in. Oh well. They taste great right out of the freezer!

Absolutely delicious!! Per others reviews, I added 1 T. of water to the dough and it was a good consistency. I should have mixed it a bit more so it would be smoother, but that was my fault. Also, just melted choc/shortening over low heat, stirring constantly (not over bubbling water) and it was fine. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

A gluten free cookie recipe! Yea! I have a sister with Celiacs disease, so these are a perfect and absolutely delicious cookie that she can enjoy at the holidays. The rest of us gobble them up, too :) Great recipe and super simple - I heat the chocolate/shortning in a glass bowl in the microwave, just giving it additional zaps when the chocolate starts to harden up.

They were very good, but too crumbly. Next time I make them I think I will back off the powdered sugar by at least a cup and make sure my peanut butter mixture is smooth and not crumbly.

I thought these were good - but not as great as I had hoped or expected. For the time and effort and mess, I only thought they were good.

Yum! Made these at a friend's request and they sure were good. I had to add some extra peanut butter, as they were a little dry as is.

My husband helped me make these...definately a time-consuming recipe so having someone to help is great! I meticulously measured but the peanut butter and sugar mixture turned out very dry and crumbly. In order to make smooth and perfectly round balls, I added about 2 tablespoons of water before rolling into balls. The mixture was also so thick that I had to use my electric mixer (with dough attachment). **These are SO rich. Next time, I will definately make these much smaller.

These were pretty good. I have one complaint though. They were very very melty. Though yummy. Although that problem could have been caused by the fact that i only used 3 cups sugar as other reviewers recomended. Otherwise pretty tasty

Very time consuming with rolling the little balls and all...but well worth it! My husband took a majority of them to work and said they were gone in 30 minutes...and that was at 5 in the morning! Thanks for the excellent recipe!
