These are just like my grandma used to make when I was a kid! Trip down memory lane... :) These came out great, I highly recommend this recipe. I followed the directions exactly.

I LOVE buckeyes, so I used this recipe as a Halloween idea. After rolling the peanut butter into balls, I stuck 4 pretzel pieces into each one to make the legs of a spider. Then I froze the balls before dunking the whole "spider" in melted dark chocolate. After that set, I used red gel to add eyes. The combination of salty pretzels and sweet buckeyes is awesome...I'm not sure if the spiders are going to last until the party!

Great recipe! Although I use chocolate bark. I use my crock-pot to melt the chocolate. It cuts down on the mess.

This recipe was AMAZING! Better than the buckeyes and the recipe for them that I paid for in Ohio! Definitely decrease the powdered sugar amount as others suggest, but other than that, perfect recipe and stayed on the toothpick when dipped in chocolate too.

Great recipe! I used crunchy peanut butter. I have made these a few times now. some with chopped peanuts but I actually prefer them, with just the chocolate. Thank you!

These are awesome! I changed the recipe only slightly - I used a tad less confectioners sugar and added a 1/2 c. of graham cracker crumbs (from the Buckeyes II recipe - another great one). My b.f. and brother love the texture that the graham cracker crumbs add (almost like Reese's). These are delish!!

A permanent fixture on my Christmas cookie/candy list. I made a TON of these last year and they went fast! I think I actually like these better than Reese's! A bit labor intensive and messy (anything involving me and powdered sugar is messy), but absolutely delicious. Freezing the peanut butter balls, as I read on someone else's review, would be a good idea, since they do tend to get soft while dipping. Storing them in the fridge is good too, since they soften pretty fast at room temperature.

These are so yummy! I doubled the recipe, and I wish I had frozen the peanut butter balls before dipping them in the chocolate, because by the time I finished they were soft and kept slipping off the toothpick back into the chocolate. If you move slowly, you may want to only remove a dozen from the refrigerator at a time or freeze them. Also, I found the sugar to be just right after it was sifted.

These are really good. I used chocolate almond bark instead of the chocolate chipe and shortening. the almond bark gives them a more mild flavor and gives it a little more solid chocolate coating.

Huge hit! I made them for Christmas and used 1/2 natural unsalted PB and 1/2 regular. It made the texture and taste amazing!

mmmmm! I love these! I used this recipe to make Bakerella's Easter Chick Cake Pops instead of the hassle of making a cake and waiting for it to cool.

For some reason I always thought buckeyes are hard to make and very time consuming. These are not hard or time consuming! They were amazing. I plan on making them again next week!
