Leftover Roast Brunswick Stew

This is a very good Brunswick stew made with last night's leftover pot roast. Southern style BBQ sauce works best. Don't use honey BBQ or other really sweet sauces because they make the stew too sweet.

Like a thick hearty soup, this stew is packed with tender chicken and an eye-catching combination of vegetables. I could never wait patiently to eat when Mother was cooking this stew. --Milded Sherrer, Fort Worth, Texas

Drunken Winter Stew

This potato and cabbage soup is drunk on only one beer! Beer and spicy mustard imbues it with a lovely piquancy and a heady aroma. Serve this over rice with a good stout ale.
