My first time ever making biscotti. They turned out wonderfully - even though I was in so much of a hurry I totally forgot the egg wash. I dont believe it made much of a difference and I'm not sure of the reason for the egg wash? Anyway, will be dipping these in white chocolate and putting in our cookie jar to have with our tea/coffee!

Really good recipe. You can add about anything you want, from coffee to nuts to any kind of chips, etc. My next batch will have peanut butter chips. Very very good!

Easy...delicious! I made these for a cookie exchange and they were a big hit! The only change I made was to drizzle melted white chocolate over the cookie...looked awesome

I had been looking for a chocolate biscotti recipe for some time and at last have found a keeper. Delicate and light with just the right amount of chocolate and sweetness. I dusted a batch with powder sugar and drizzles white chocolate on another. I did what others suggested and lowered the temp. to 350 and baked just a bit longer so they would not burn. Most important to let them cool as noted before slicing. Thanks!

This recipe was quite good. The log after the first time cooking was very crumbly though. This made my biscotti sort of uneven looking but the end product was pretty good. I kept them in the oven for 20 minutes and they were beginning to burn a little bit, so i will probably lower the time next time. thanks!

This is the first time I've ever made biscotti, and they came out perfect! I didn't add the nuts. I also covered them in melted chocolate. I got rave reviews, and was offered money to sell the next batch I make. Thanks for a great recipe!

Wow these were good! My first attempt at biscotti and I loved them. My mother on the other hand, she would give me away in trade for these. =] She absolutely loved them, which means they must be good because she's tried them all. Good recipe, will use again.

375 is to high temp for these. 350 would be much more accurate and reduce to 300 after slicing them. I burnt my first batch at 375. I used toasted hazelnuts , which tasted excellent, and no egg wash. Great flavor, if not burnt :)

Made this yesterday and think they are perfect. I skipped the egg wash. I used my air-bake, however they did get a little too dark on the bottom. Should have checked over sooner but set the timer for 20 minutes. Next time I will bake at 350. For the subsequent bakes I reduced to 250 for about 15 minutes each. I turned the oven off and left them in another 10 minutes. Very crisp and yummy. I bought the Baker's melting discs for icing. I used about 1/3 of the package and micro'ed in a sauce dish. Each container has enough discs for 3 batches of biscotti. I used a small brush and coated the bottom's this time as they were a little dark.
